The most interesting role play toy that would probably catch you attention is the Fart Gun with of course fart sounds. At first you’ll think that it would include the gimmick of a fart smell but that would be too much for kids to take. Then you have child safety protocols which would be followed that a simulation of a fart sound is enough for you to get sold for a retail of PhP 1,499.75 pesos.
Then you have the plush toys that have Gru’s youngest adopted daughter in Agnes which comes in two versions. This includes also Agnes’ obsession with unicorns so you also get that one two and three versions of the minions. This is different from the lights a& sounds version that would cost more.
Thinkaway Toys are the manufacturer of this merchandise that includes the 6 inch action figures line at PhP 1,199.75 pesos apiece that includes Gru, four minions, and two potato head like versions with inter0changeable parts.
There are also the big scale minions that actually simulate the real ones that blink which includes the sound. Gru has a 12 inch version with lights & sounds that would fit with the 6 inch minions from the action figure line to scale if you really are a hardcore Despicable Me fan since the first movie came out.
But the star of the merchandise line is the minions which were limited variation compared to the Happy Meal toys that came out today.
If you think the toys a little expensive the Happy Meal toys for July 2013 would probably a small consolation having 9 variations that also includes two evil minions. But these are Asian releases and North America with other foreign markets hasn’t revealed their own minions which hopefully would be the same.
Despicable Me 2 opens nationwide in 3D theaters on July 3, 2013 from Universal Studios to be distributed by Solar Entertainment in the Philippines!
