Marvel + Miniso | 5 Essential Merchandise

08.30.2019 – The collaboration between Marvel and Miniso produced a lot of household merchandise that was previously revealed in the other stores that are now “Marvel-ized” with the aesthetics featuring the prominent characters that appeared in Marvel Studios’ MCU, which are based from their comicbook appearances. Believe it True Believers when you’re a big Marvel fan chances are you won’t know which ones to buy and not everything is actually ‘useful’ at home or if you plan to accessorize yourself it is a challenging preposition. Earlier today the Miniso branch in SM Megamall became the House of Ideas that welcomed customers to the store.

08.27.2019 – The Marvel freight train keeps on chugging along with the plethora of reveals for the upcoming Disney+ streaming service over the past weekend there’s more where all that is coming from. With the Comic Book content heating up with their flagship X-titles literally sold and the MCU films are building up. The merchandise machine hasn’t stop producing all things Marvel that you can wear and sleep in. A few years ago there was a Marvel store that has anything that has something to do with the House of Ideas, which even though short lived it gave fans what they had and now it’s Miniso’s turn to bring some Marvel to the mainstream.

12.12.2018 – With the popularity of Pokemon at all-time high, which launched the latest games featuring “Let’s Go, Pikachu” and “Let’s Go, Eevee!” Nintendo won’t stop with the recent release of the animated feature film The Pokemon Movie: The Power of Us in select countries like Australia and the Philippines to name a few there of course are merchandise. In the Philippines and Asian region has released a set of Pokemon toys from McDonald’s Happy Meal last month. Force Friday II | Reveal at Toy Kingdom

Force Friday comes just in time for the "early celebration" of Christmas in the Philippines, which is considered the longest holiday celebration by Filipinos. This also spells an early Christmas shopping for fans of the upcoming Star Wars film, The last Jedi.

Set as a midnight event for Toy Kingdom in the Philippines, which was held in the atrium of SM Mall of Asia, Force Friday follows the tradition of a midnight launch of Star Wars toys, merchandise, and the showcase of almost everything about the galaxy from far away.

Toy Expo 2016 | Trolls

08.25.2016 – The upcoming Dreamworks Animation’s “Trolls” is also going to have its line of merchandise that features action figures, plush toys, and collectibles. It was sighted in the recently concluded Toy Expo 2016 at the SMX Convention Centre. One of the iconic brands from the 1980s is making a comeback with its 3D animated feature film having new characters voiced by Anna Kendrick and Justin Timberlake. Now their characters get too made in toy form as seen on one of the displays at the Toy Expo over the weekend.

11.30.2013 – Just in time for the holiday season The Adventure Time toys by Jazwares was sighted on display in toy stores in Manila. The much awaited official merchandise that inspired the hit animation on Cartoon Network is finally here. Previously you can only find these at specialty stores, that would be retailed twice the actual price. The merchandise consists of plush toys and the action figures. The series of merchandise features Finn and Jake the Dog finally make on retail after a huge demand due to the popularity of the show.

10.17.2013 – Just in time for Max Steel to make his debut on Toonami Asia earlier this month there are new action figures and role play toys coming out manufacture by Mattel and distributed by Richwell Prime in the Philippines. The new reincarnation of Max Steel looks promising for big scale action figures but not as big as its previous predecessors that featured larger vehicles and possibly play sets. The new Max Steel reintroduced the character for the new generation. Previously featured Max Steel Cycle was just a preview of the new look for the character.

09.09.2013 – The Power Rangers has become part of the American culture and for the past 20 years they continue to bring new shows every year based from the Japanese Super Sentai shows that has become a global brand for Bandai when it comes to merchandise. This year celebrates 20 years of Power Rangers and to bring in the anniversary they have released the latest series in Megaforce known in Japan as Tensou Sentai Goseiger. The toys have already been sighted in the Philippines and also have some of the original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers action figures.

New Look Filbar's Grand Opening!

07.27.2013 – Filbar’s is the oldest comic book store in the Philippines established in 1979. It was first started as magazine store that sell selected comic book titles. Fast forward to the present the store is getting a fresh look under new management. Its first appearance during Summer Komikon 2013 in April was the start of something new. Acquired by a new company all the store branches will have a new look and re-focused towards bringing the hobby in comics, toys, and games to local market.

06.21.2013 – They have landed! Despicable Me 2 toys and merchandise has been sighted in one of the local stores in the Philippines. The minions are back with their mischievous antics that will definitely give Gru a major headache aside from being a new father to three little girls last seen in the first movie. If it wasn’t bad enough to scream “Banana!” surely you will once you see these new action figures, plush toys, figurines and other merchandise related to the upcoming movie from Illumination Entertainment and Universal Pictures.

06.11.2013 – The week is owned by Man of Steel with promotions from Penshoppe a retail clothing store and SM Mall of Asia which launched exclusive licensed shirts as well as having a special exhibit dubbed “Defender of Earth.” The launch of the events was held last June 8, 2013 the previous Saturday which is an open event with no admission. The exhibit features Superman from then and now including the current Man of Steel.
