09.28.2014 – Collecticon on its 7th year continues to be one of the driving force in hobby related fan fair in the country. Having been established originally back in 1999 the same organizers has been consistent being one of the places to see annually.
The hobby driven community ranging from comics, toys, and other interest in collecting is big in the Philippines and Collecticon. It is one the few places you can see why Filipinos have a strong diverse interest in the collecting as a hobby.

Previously Collecticon and its sister event TAGCOM has been hosted in an open area mall, but for the past two years its been home at SM Megamall’s Megatrade Hall.
Now more than ever Collecticon focuses more on the bringing the hobby market to the mainstream since not much everyone is aware that there are specialty shops in Greenhills and this is quite an interesting alternative to see annually.
Like any Filipino-flavored hobby convention they have band performances, mascot sponsored and a mini-program for first-time convention goer as part of the list of activities and to entertain those who want to have a fan convention experience.
