This event was held at the Vinyl on Vinyl Art Gallery, where the small gathering to launch the Panda Rabbit book revealed not only the short film featuring the character. But this is also what to look forward to with Randy D. Rosario’s creation.
Panda + Rabbit
The Panda Rabbit is a hybrid animal, a creature on its own from the passionate creative mind of Randy D. Rosario. When the program started Randy immediately introduce to friends and guests what Panda Rabbit is all about how it came to be and what inspired him to put together an original concept in producing a short film about his character, the realm where it lives and the impact its making in the urban lifestyle scene.
At the same time he’s launching The Panda Rabbit book that features his creation, poetry and short story that he also wrote. He also showed the six minute short film combining live action and animation that he put together in his apartment with his friends.
That Dream Project
Behind the scenes Randy also reveals the process on how The Panda Rabbit was created. He was the story teller, producer, and set designer where he created the costume. He claims to be self taught and did not receive formal education to film schools and all his ideas are inspiration from growing up and what he have seen in popular culture.
The book he is launching will be an exclusive release at Vinyl on Vinyl and he is collaboration with a non profit organization The Dream Project, where all proceeds in purchasing the book will be donated to the advocacy in helping shape the minds of the Filipino youth.
