"Cinderella" in IMAX Cinemas on March 12th!

03.10.2015 – “Cinderella” the much awaited live action adaptation of the same name based from the Disney classic that was originally released in 1950 as an animated feature is heading to the big screen opening in selected parts of Asia.

To celebrate the release of the film IMAX Corporation and The Walt Disney Studios team-up to bring the fairytale to IMAX cinemas!

The highly anticipated live-action “Cinderella” – directed by Academy Award® nominee Kenneth Branagh and starring Academy Award® winner Cate Blanchett as the Stepmother and Lily James in the timeless title role – will be digitally re-mastered into the immersive IMAX® format and released in IMAX® theatres in the Philippines starting March 12th.

“Cinderella” will also bow in 2D cinemas across the country on the same date.

A live-action feature inspired by the classic fairy tale, “Cinderella” is written by Chris Weitz and produced by Simon Kinberg, Allison Shearmur and David Barron. Tim Lewis served as executive producer.

The IMAX® release of “Cinderella” will be digitally re-mastered into the image and sound quality of The IMAX Experience® with proprietary IMAX DMR® (Digital Re-mastering) technology. The crystal-clear images, coupled with IMAX's customized theatre geometry and powerful digital audio, create a unique environment that will make audiences feel as if they are in the movie.
