Jose Mertz Reveal the Firestorm Mural!

04.03.2016 – Firestorm is a combination of two people who would become the Nuclear Man that featured the original incarnation of Ronnie Raymond and Martin Stein. Over the years the men behind Firestorm would change in the comic books.

The same happened on television when Firestorm appeared on The Flash and Arrow with Victor Garber as Martin Stein and Robbie Amell as Ronnie Raymond. He would eventually be replaced by mechanic Jefferson Jackson prior to Legends of Tomorrow.

Jefferson “Jax” Jackson first appeared in the Vol. 2 of Firestorm #1 (1984), but was a different character version in his television counter part appearing on the second season of The Flash portrayed by Franz Drameh.

In the spinoff from Arrow and The Flash, Firestorm becomes one of the lead characters in “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow” and just like The Atom last month DC All-Access features the character collaborating with Ford Motors in a series of mural art done by well known artists in the urban lifestyle scenes.

Jose Mertz, a Miami based creative director, designer, and visual artist puts together the Firestorm mural featuring Jefferson “Jax” Jackoson’s likeness as portrayed by Franz Drameh about to take flight. DC All-Access puts together the behind-the-scenes on how it was put together and Drameh’s reaction to the mural art below:

“DC’s Legends of Tomorrow” airs in US on The CW, while in the Asian region its is being broadcast on Warner TV at 9 PM!
