“Batman: The Killing Joke” originally published by DC Comics in 1988 one-shot graphic novel that tells the origin of The Joker written by Alan Moore and illustrated by Brian Bolland loosely adapted from the 1951 story arc "The Man Behind the Red Hood!" The Killing Joke taking place over two timelines depicts the Joker attempting to drive Jim Gordon insane and Batman's desperate attempt to stop him.
