Batman Day 2017 at Greenlight Comics!

09.24.2017 – “Batman Day” is celebrating Harley Quinn’s first appearance with the character’s 25th anniversary originally appearing in Batman: The Animated Series’ episode “Joker’s Favor” as the annual event is no longer about just the cape crusader.

If you haven’t heard about “Batman Day” it started with the Dark Knight’s 75th Anniversary in 2014. Every year it was all about Bob Kane with Bill Finger’s creation but for 2017 its about the Joker’s sidekick Harley Quinn and the event was celebrated in South Australia by Greenlight Comics.


Ever since Greenlight Comics opened its doors on Free Comic Book Day in 2016 countless comic book-related events has been celebrated in this venue. For “Batman Day” the shop won’t pass up the opportunity to make a splash in celebrating this annual event with a Batman-themed gathering from fans and casual walk-ins.

The event gave away three exclusive “Batman Day” comic books featuring Harley Quinn with the 25th anniversary logo to commemorate the special occasion. From Bat fans, kids, parents and local comic book artists where present for the sketch art, face painting, and special 10% off in all Batman-related books.

Paul Bulman was the featured artist doing a personal Batman sketch to fans who wants to avail of his art. Besides that Dan McGuiness, one of the owners of Greenlight Comics welcomes you at the counter with his personal ‘batsuit’ during the duration of the event. “Batman Day” happens annually to celebrate the cape crusader or another Batman related character and for 2017 its Harley Quinn as this is one of the global events organized by comic shops all over the world.
