TK Toy Expo 2018 | Five Exhibits to Visit

08.24.2018 – The Toy Kingdom Toy Expo opened its doors early today to begin the weekend-long festivities featuring new and unreleased toys from exhibitors. This is first a fun-filled event for the whole family at the same time its where toy collectors gather and make the effort to pick up some new releases not available on retail.

Every other year Toy Expo has become the trade show for those into the hobby of toy collecting as well as an event for the family, where event programs and meet & greet with the mascots are present up to the last day.


This is the fourth time Toy Kingdom Toy Expo was held at the SMX Convention Centre since its introduction in 2012. The event is held every other year since then following 2014, 2016 and this 2018. It’s a rare occasion that you should not miss as most toys get released here before they start showing up in toy shelves on retails stores. There are also toys that are on sale up to 20% percent and you can’t miss the opportunity to get some of them on clearance.

There are interesting exhibits and displays you should check out prior to the regular activities happening on stage. There are interesting exhibitors that offer something you might find interesting and here is those place you should make the visit.





LEGO Diorama presented by AFOL Manila

This sprawling diorama is no ordinary LEGO display it features a Philippine theme based on the country’s culture and heritage. From colorful Jeepneys, an Ice Cream vendor with interesting customes, and a native hut called “Bahay Kubo” as one of the features dioramas on display from LAJ with collaborative partnership with local community of LEGO enthusiasts known as AFOL Manila.

There are also interesting sites to look out for in those buildings. Besides that the Macanang Palace as one of the centrepiece tied to Philippine culture there are also some little things you might miss looking at those minifigures. One of these interesting things is Deaadpool, the Merch with the Mouth as a ballerina by the balcony or a guitar strumming musician can be found in those buildings. You’ll definitely take time capturing memories with the kids at the same time grab some of those sets on red tag clearance for an advance Christmas present as a suggestion.





Transformers Cyberverse World

The new Cyberverse series is out and you can’t miss the new merchandise based on the upcoming Transformers series. There are also some of the displays featuring previous releases from Generations range from Combiner Wars, Titans Return and the recently released Power of the Primes.

A new Masterpiece figure has been released and this one is based from the 2007 film directed by Michael Bay. It’s none other than the Police Enforcement Decepticon named Barricade in Masterpiece Edition which was released in this event. You can also avail of the box set of Predaking compose of the individual Predacon members as well as Deluxe Class Titans Returns assortment that’s 50% percent off.





Ghost Busting Playmobil

The toys based from the 1984 classic by Ivan Reitman is now available as the latest range of sets and figures from Playmobil. Though it has been available for quite sometime for those who are not updated these sets can be purchased at the Playmobil booth and with every purchase of any of the brand’s themes you can take home a free Playmo Figure for free.

You can also check out the How to Train your Dragon ranges of sets that are also displayed. There are play areas for you kids to enjoy and have the opportunity to see what Playmobil is all about.







Marvelous Ten Years of Greatness

Marvel Studios that produced the biggest expanding franchise is celebrating ten years and they are bringing in the big guns. For those who are collecting the Marvel Legends assortment check out the 10th anniversary editions of your favorite Marvel characters based on the films.

Besides the movie-based characters that you can get your hands on check out the latest Marvel Legends series featuring Venom and the cast of symbiotes as might be a preview for you to own some of the characters based from their comic book appearances. The centre piece of the exhibit is the Infinity Gauntlet from the four corners of the Marvel booth where you can find Spider-Man, Iron Man, and Dr. Strange this weapon that Thanos had put the snapture is quite a sight to see.





Revving Fifty Years of Hot Wheels

A full size Chevrolet Camaro is the heart of the Hot Wheels exhibit. No doubt any petrol head won’t want to have a photo opportunity with this beast of a muscle car. Bu8t for those who just collect the diecast cars you’ll be happy to know that they are running a promo when you buy two cars you take one for free.

Plus! Get you selfie skills happening at the Hot Wheels booth and since this is distributed by Richprime have some photos with the other booths that is connected together to with a speical prize during your stay in this event.
