There have been very few properties that would last five decades, and Doraemon can claim that feat for being around probably longer than your grandparents. Doraemon is a Japanese Manga series written and illustrated by Fujiko Fujio (the pen name of the duo Hiroshi Fujimoto and Motoo Abiko). The series has been successful becoming a media franchise due to its popular anime series.

For those unaware, Doraemon has previously collaborated with McDonald’s, but mostly some of those toys released for Happy Meal have been exclusive only to the Japanese market. But there was a time Doraemon had a Happy Meal released outside of Japan for the Southeast Asian region and this goes back to 2013.
There were eight toys that was produced and this was probably the first time that Doraemon toys by Happy Meal became available for a wide range market. This was also the last one as the next previous toys were again exclusive for its home country. But for 2021this was a wonderful surprise just to coincide with its golden anniversary since the character debuted on his manga series in 1970 and the rest as they say has been quite a sweet history.
The Many Lives of Doraemon
The 2021 series had fewer similarities from the 2013 release, but the obvious one would be that pink cabinet door. But if you’re keen to know the names which of the character toys were released here are some details below:

Every name description of the toy explains its gimmick and this aligns with Doraemon’s character in the manga as well as in the three incarnations of the anime series. The set would definitely a hit with Doraemon fans as selected Asian countries made this robotic cat beloved being aired in the daily afternoon surely a great honour for the character to celebrate 50 years is well deserved.
These toys started being available at McDonald’s since 7 April 2021 and will be available for the next 28 days or until supply last due to its widespread popularity, which you should not miss out and collect all eight toys that come with every Happy Meal toys!
