It’s been a while since McDonald’s Happy Meal developed a tie-up unrelated to animation, movies, or video games. But a collaboration with famous toys from all over the world particularly from Germany. It might not be as popular in Asia, but Playmobil has been synonymous with quality toys that make kids tell their stories. For McDonald’s latest Happy Meal offering, they’re bringing the Playmobil brand with the Wiltopia range of animals. “Wiltopia” is Playmobil’s latest range of toys based on popular animals from all over the world, and the German toy brand has a tie-up with McDonald’s with this special promoting wildlife with select animals.

Happy Meal 2021 | Rise of Gru Wave II

McDonald’s drops a surprising Happy Meal for the month of June 2021 with another set of Minions from the Rise of Gru sequel, which the screen date has been pushed from July 2021 to next year. For those who are unaware this is considered a second wave of toys as the first wave was released sometime late in November 2020. The unexpected release of this second set of Minions is also the opportunity for collectors to get some of the characters that were supposed to be exclusive in other countries. This means another set bump up the number of minions from last year with another set of 20 characters that were sighted at one of the stores in Manila.

Happy Meal 2021 | Doraemon at 50

There have been very few properties that would last five decades, and Doraemon can claim that feat for being around probably longer than your grandparents. Doraemon is a Japanese Manga series written and illustrated by Fujiko Fujio (the pen name of the duo Hiroshi Fujimoto and Motoo Abiko). The series has been successful becoming a media franchise due to its popular anime series. If you’re a popular anime series there would be countless merchandise, which Doraemon has been known for. With that in mind the earless robotic cat from the 22nd century turns fifty with a tie-up to celebrate its anniversary is presented in the latest Happy Meal.

08.02.2020 – There have been great Happy Meal toys and recent releases wasn’t what collectors are hoping for. The best ones that usually released are exclusives to a specific country or region and those were from collaboration with Disney that also owns Marvel, Star Wars, Pixar, and it’s other properties. The slowdown due to the worldwide pandemic has been a complicated challenge for companies like McDonald’s that release their Happy Meal toys. In Asia, there haven’t been toys from the fast-food giant that really was unforgettable like 101 Dalmatians or the United Nation’s Snoopy.

Happy Meal 2020 | Trolls World Tour

06.01.2020 - McDonald’s in Southeast Asia has slowly updated the latest Happy Meal toys in the countries that covered this region. Since early in March 2020 the latest toy featuring Trolls World Tour has been presented to various markets and the Philippines has finally caught up with the collectibles that was supposed to be released two months earlier. Due to the coronavirus pandemic there has been no new toys released. Though the animated film has already been released in the US through Video on Demand the toys have been already released ahead of its original screen date.

04.03.2019 – Every time a new set of Happy Meal toy is a mad scramble to their nearest store. But it all depends on the country that release them as you all know some parts of Asia they don’t release an entire set, but you have to wait a specific day of the week for its feature toy like in Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia and Hong Kong. But in the Philippines it’s a different story once they release the toys most of them get a set immediately within the day. It is also depending on the popularity which toy that might be. For April 2019, its Barbie and Hot Wheels as the latest that has been a regular for McDonald’s Happy Meal.

The first toys where featuring TMNT that also have Winx. But for the month of February its latest toys are based on Cartoon Network’s Ben 10 Omniverse and My Little Pony Girls?!

Happy Meal 2015: Hotel Transylvannia 2!

09.11.2015 – For those who have their ‘Happy’ completed some are anticipating the next Happy Meal. Thanks to online user JP Armada Conde who got the news that the meal toy will be from the upcoming animated feature film Hotel Transylvania 2! This is the promotion for the Sony Pictures sequel that featured the voice of Adam Sandler and his actor friends. The next Happy in the US is also the said animated film, but there’s more details reveal regarding the difference of the toys.

Happy Meal PH 2015: Happy!

08.27.2015 – Happy finally makes it to Asia and the Philippines for late August/early September Happy Meal toy offered in the country. This was previously speculated early in May when Singapore first offered them bringing only eight variations. Happy has slowly appear in the Happy Meal displays early this year first sighted as an image together with the promotion for the DreamWorks Animation feature ‘Home’ and then followed with appearance in ‘Shaun the Sheep’ display. This continued, but was moved from behind the scenes to give way for The Minions promotion in July. But then, there was images of Happy as the next toy offered at McDonald’s yesterday as reported that it's already being sold somewhere in Quezon City. So far, no other McDonald’s store has been sighted until someone shared an image of ‘Happy’ toys on display at McDonald’s in Antipolo City.

Happy Meal Asia 2014: SpongeBob's Underwater Adventures!

04.15.2014 – Happy Meal in the Philippines quickly updated the latest toys to be released after Super Mario 3D World went sold out in less than seven days. It wasn’t released in other territories aside from Japan and some parts of South America in 2013. Immediately McDonald’s Philippines had a back up plan and they have now SpongeBob SquarePants Underwater Adventures. But this is not the first time SpongeBob was featured for the Happy Meal. This was previously released last year in Austria, Germany, Luxembourg, Poland, Qatar and Pakistan.

You just read it here the Italian who keeps getting in trouble dealing with weird looking creatures from a world far from New York is taking over your “Happiness in the Box!” This might be another minion-grabbing attention much like last year this toy meal is poised to be sold out in less than a week. Based from the Wii U game Super Mario 3D World released eight six variations of Mario with Princess Peach and Yoshi to collect all eight.

HM Asia 2014: Mr. Peabody & Sherman Sphinx Maze!

03.15.2014 – The worldwide promotion for Mr. Peabody & Sherman featured as McDonald’s Happy Meal is not entirely the same. There’s one or two toy different in each continent, and just like in the previous featured promotion it stands out unique. For those hardcore in collecting all the variations, it’s a challenge. Happy Meal 2013: Beware the Batman & Twinkle Toes!

12.04.2013 – It’s been a while since the last Happy Meal for McDonald’s Philippines featured Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Strawberry Shortcake. This was late in October 2013 which is more than a month back. There’s no new Happy Meal in November, and brought the new promo for December with Beware the Batman & Twinkle Toes. The latest animated series in Beware the Batman has not caught up with the Asian region. But old Batmna viewers will be delighted with the new Happy Meal...

Happy Meal Spotlight: Smurfs 2!

08.14.2013 – It’s been almost a month since the release of the Happy Meal featuring the characters from Smurfs 2 was released and some of them are still available in selected McDonald’s store in the Philippines. They even held a special #ToyPhotography contest for you to be able to win a Sony Cybershot digital camera. The US release came out last July 1, 2013 and it’s not the same as how Despicable Me 2’s minions have ruled the toy meal world.
