Toy Kingdom Brings Back Toy Expo!

There have been many toy-related events held in the Philippines. Big or small, their impact on the growth of the local toy industry keeps the general public's interest patronizing the hobby for the next generation who have grown with videogames from mobile phones to handheld gaming consoles. Truly, the interest in toys has shifted with emerging technologies, but that doesn’t stop those pre-internet kids, who are now adults continue to appreciate the nostalgia of physical toys that are now parents re-introducing the interest to their children. After six years of hiatus, the Toy Kingdom store brings back the TK Toy Expo in 2024!

Triple Force Friday Continues Star Wars Midnight Tradition

It has now becoming a yearly tradition for Star Wars fans to flock to the SM Mall of Asia somewhere in October to make a vigil until midnight for the event called Force Fridays. The night before brings fans who love to get their hands on the latest merchandise from the franchise which is also waiting for the third installment of the new saga, The Rise Of Skywalker.

Just like the previous years, Force Fridays starts early with activities that will get those in line pumped as they await midnight. It's also the first time that they installed a countdown timer at the entrance of the exhibit area which gives more excitement as its ticks down to twelve. Star Wars Trivia was also asked from time to time to give fans gifts for their knowledge of the people and places from the galaxy far far away.

Triple Force Friday | Aftermath Sunday

10.08.2019 – It has become sort of tradition to Star Wars fans to attend the Celebration and when it comes to the merchandise launch it was Force Friday starting way back when Force Awakens was introduced as the continuation to the official canon for the blockbuster franchise. Triple Friday had happened and was launched midnight of Friday 4 October 2019, but the fans had trooped Thursday night to this annual revelry for the toys, merchandise and anything Star Wars in-between. It was done but that doesn’t mean you missed everything. For the casual fans there’s still more that can be relished.

Secret Fresh + SM Mall of Asia: Bototoy Art Gallery!

06.09.2014 – Bototoy gallery has been up on exhibit at the SM Mall of Asia’s main mall since the start of the month, but the launch event will be on June 11th at 3PM. Even though the gallery has been there for the past eight days it’s already getting quite an attention to the usual mall visiting crowd. This is actually a first for Bototoy to be seen in the mainstream spotlight after having an official launch at Secret Fresh almost two years ago. The current exhibit is more combination of new and old sharing the various customs done by local graphic artist.”

06.03.2014 – If you have missed Au Courant last month you might happen to see a couple of little wooden toys sitting around the area, where Secret Fresh had an exhibit at the event that includes art and sculptures. Bototoy is the creation by Jagnus Design Studios well known for its architecture and unique concept designs. They have been frequent exhibitors at the annual World BEX along with Secret Fresh and they are collaborating again with SM Mall of Asia to have a Bototoy exhibit happening next week…

Sights & Highlights: Defender of Earth Exhibit!

06.11.2013 – The week is owned by Man of Steel with promotions from Penshoppe a retail clothing store and SM Mall of Asia which launched exclusive licensed shirts as well as having a special exhibit dubbed “Defender of Earth.” The launch of the events was held last June 8, 2013 the previous Saturday which is an open event with no admission. The exhibit features Superman from then and now including the current Man of Steel.

The Dark Knight Rises Philippine Premiere!

07.19.2012 – The Dark Knight Rises has finally descended in the Philippines when Warner Bros. Pictures had a very special press media screening last night at the Coca-Cola IMAX Theater at the SM Mall of Asia in Pasay City. The press from various media in print, television and online converge to witness the epic saga come full circle from Director Christopher Nolan and Christian Bale in a titular role. What considered a masterpiece that others tried to emulate and change the way we see super heroes in the big screen has finally ended.

Men from Mars VS John Carter of Earth!

03.08.2012 – John Carter of Mars is the hero from Edgar Rice Burroughs’ the Barsoom novels and the character having appeared in various media since 1912. To celebrate the upcoming film the Walt Disney-made feature film John Carter marks its centenary character’s appearance.

The Philippines is one of the few countries who get to see the film prior to its global release of March 9, 2012 and the special event was held at SM Mall of Asia’s Coca-Cola IMAX theater as the venue has its cinema’s main entrance set up to look like your going to the Mars planet.

03.08.2012 – The John Carter press media screening was received by positive vibes that it will get good reviews once the film opens on March 9, 2012. After the screening at IMAX in SM Mall of Asia the viewers went to the make shift photo booth. This is a rare occasion that two passionate Geek generating blog sites FlipGeeks and GeekMatic had a hilarious Wednesday night from Timzster’s video blog asking each and everyone’s opinion to Earl being the bestiality to see in the photo booth the night when everyone was high on the movie’s breath taking visuals as well as its great movie.
