Last year we never had the opportunity to get close with Mr. Eng Huat, but was present as one of the special guests, who will be preset for this year's STGCC 2010. |
An Eisner Award-wining artist who has been working for DC and Marvel Comics for the past 10 years.
His notable works includes The Silver Surfer, Ghost Rider, The Punisher, Batman, and the recently launched Thor: Fist of Thunder. He started his career as a cartoonist for DC Comics in 2000.
Tang Eng Huat received international recognition when he won the 5th Comic Nation Award in 2002 in England for Best New Talent and the prestigious Russ Manning Most Promising Newcomer Award in 2002 at the Will Eisner Comic Industry Awards.
Eng Huat is a native of Malaysia who is also a member for Gilamon Studio, an independent studio set up and based in 2003. Specializing in storytelling - using comic books as a medium - and design. As part of Gilamon, Eng Huat has collaborated with Lefty on various Major Zombie projects and also co-created Six with fellow member Chin Sau Lim. Eng Huat is currently at work on more personal projects for Gilamon Comics.
