The Green Hornet Philippine Red Carpet Premiere!

01.18.2011 - Last night the GeekMatic! crew was out, and having fun at the red carpet premiere of the Green Hornet that stars Seth Rogen, Jay Chou, and Cameron Diaz to name a few.

It was a festive evening of fun and laughs at the cinema with your passionate geek heads, and you can say this is quite the start for this year to roll in to bring you the best the local scene can bring, which is this event.

Jump after the cut...

The event was star-studded with local celebrities gracing the red carpet was wild at the movie itself. We could only muster a few selected heaps of dinner being served courtesy of Krispy Kreme, Yoshinoya, Yellow Cab, and cooling it down with Fruit Magic as the event's caterer that was in full force.

The crew had their own perspective and take about the film due in part, that it was shown in the US and UK ahead of the selected region in Asia that includes the Philippines.

As they say, don't count your chickens until they hatched that is indeed some of the viewers were caught off-guard from the film's hilarity, and mayhem of its action extravaganza. Something fresh and different is needed to break the campy and hilarious themes from the original TV series of the 60s, which definitely gave fans and viewers of the film an entirely new perspective for those who are about to see this film when it opens in cinemas this week.

If you missed out on t went down in the Philippines' own red carpet premiere Green Hornet here's a few photos with the crew and some familiar faces in the local scene...

Special thanks to SM Cinema and Columbia Pictures Philippines for the invitation to this event. For more red carpet images check out the Facebook page of Columbia Pictures philippines.

We hope to look forward to seeing more movies to come. Definitely, this is one ride that really caters not only to us geeks but to everyone in between!
