06.07.2012 – Previous report sighting of The Dark Knight Rises merchandise was only found in all Toys R’ Us branches. Finally it’s now available at SM department stores and Toy Kingdom branches which have now added variety of products based from the upcoming third and final installment of the Batman films by Christopher Nolan.
The additional toys sighted are the action figures minus the Quick Tek devices which still cost a lot more than we expected. For PhP 499.75 pesos (roughly $10.00 US dollars) we get a 4 inch size figure minus ANY accessories which is a bit pricey with basic articulation. |
But this time the Batman figure has a new mold but we would rather pick up a Bane figure if it had any other variation aside from the blue camouflage colors that we saw at one of the Toy Kingdom stores.
The other notable products we saw is the 6 inch Movie Masters toy line with better articulation for the collectors which has only three figures in Batman, Bane, and Alfred Pennyworth which has no vague resemblance to actor Michael Caine. You collect all three to be able to build the light up Bat Signal.
The Movie Masters toy line is retailed at PhP 1,499.75 pesos each (roughly $35.00 US Dollars) which is targeted to collectors. The most sought after among the three would be Alfred as he must be a favorite.
The other products seen are the remote controlled U Command with lights and sound Tumblr as wells the QuikTek products. Speaking about those 4 inch figures that cost PhP 999.75 pesos (roughly $23.00 US Dollars) they are currently on a 20% discount from June 1-30, 2012 since SM department stores and Toy Kingdom is having a “Toys for Boys” promo.
The QuikTek 4 inch figures have gone down from PhP 999.75 pesos to PhP 799.75 pesos. Brand new figures that were released almost a week ago went on sale now. But we inquired with one of the sales representative that this will be only temporary.
For those who would like to get the “Venom Menace” figure better grab him on the pegs as this promo is only good until the end of June.
The Dark Knight Rises opens in cinemas on July 20, 2012 and also in IMAX Theaters distributed by Warner Bros Pictures. The toys are manufactured by Mattel and locally distributed by Richwell Trading Corporation.
