Sailor Moon Created a Ruckus on The Morning Rush!

07.26.2012 – Everyone knows Sailor Moon making an impact in the Filipino Popular Culture when it first debuted in the 1990s dubbed in Tagalog language.

It has been one of the iconic anime series that fans followed that spawned merchandise, videogames and cosplayers suiting up emulating their favourite characters from the show.

If Sailor Moon is as popular as other animations in the west then you know how big this series turned out to be.


Early this morning there was a ruckus that happened when local DJs of the famous radio show The Morning Rush with triumvirate of Chico, Delamar and Gino started the discussion of their individual transformation starts of entirely butt naked.

Looking back during the height of its popularity not only girls got attracted in catching up on the show during its Saturday afternoon airings. But also a select bunch of guys who would get hooked up to watching the series and now we know why…



For 20 years the much loved anime series is celebrating its anniversary this year has announced a remake of the series to be released in 2013.

So there’s going be more naked in-between transformations going to happen in this famed anime created by Naoko Takeuchi, Kodansha (which produced the series) and Momoiro Clover Z announced that a remake of the Sailor Moon anime is now in production.



This also helped start a revival locally thanks to the DJs known as the “Kikay Barkada” of Monster Radio RX93.1 FM, where The Morning Rush is being aired on week days from 6 to 10AM.

Now we know why they were the recipient of the #TrendingRadio Award in the recent Globe Tatt Awards held last month.
