Flying Colors Comics Celebrates with Jim Lee!

08.24.2013 – Flying Colors Comics and Other Stuff has been around for the past 25 years and it was known to have founded Free Comic Book Day by store proprietor Joe Field. For the month of September the store is celebrating its anniversary.

Flying Colors Comics earned the 1995 Will Eisner "Spirit of Comics" Award for Retailing Excellence, a "Hall-of-Fame" award recognized internationally among comic book professionals. So for this coming month they will have Jim Lee at their store.

When Jim Lee was an up and coming talent in the industry his first signing event was in 1988 during the opening of Flying Colors Comics which Joe and Libby Field has founded. Twenty five years later the store that founded Free Comic Book Day is celebrating its anniversary and what a way to have it than get comic book fans lining up to see Superman Unchained and DC Comics Co-Publisher Jim Lee to have their signing event happening on September 14, 2013.

Jim will be there and be sure to show your support to and celebrate Flying Colors Comics and not only that the event will also be a fund-raiser for “We Can Be Heroes,” a charity that hopes to end hunger in the Horn of Africa.

Here is Jim Lee’s message to all regular visitors at Flying Colors Comics as well as his fans inviting them to drop by and celebrate 25 years of the store…

Flying Colors Comics & Other Cool Stuff is open every day from 11 AM-7 PM which is located at 2980 Treat Blvd (at Oak Grove Rd) Concord, California 94518 USA.
