10.17.2013 – The DFA Pinoy Komiks Lecture Series featured Boboy Yozon of PICCA, Prof Emil Flores, Carljoe Javier and Budjette Tan talking about comics then and now how it will be presented outside the Philippines.
There’s a potential interest how Filipino Komiks can move forward in the 21st century and the time is now. The rebirth of Filipino Komiks through the independent movement certainly gave it a new life and interest that propelled some original creations like Trese, Dark Colony, and Elmer,and others gave a community.

The lecture series talks about how Filipino Komiks can both benefit being promoted overseas and help DFA’s advocacy in line with their Cultural Diplomacy.
