SDCC 2015: Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice Trailer!

07.12.2015 – The Hall H must be packed right now to the brim and there’s Marvel Cinematic-related in sight. They’ve been probably have got something else to do and dropped the mic since last year.

Yes. The red capes are coming and this is not the DC Cinematic Universe you’ve been expecting for as they reiterated they are taking a different root so please understand…

With all the fever pitch presence of DC Entertainment and Warner Bros. at this year’s Comic Con International its not enough that Disney had the Star Wars panel the other night. Actually not even the television division of Marvel’s presence was enough to give the fans what they want. Because this is chess match of epic proportions in the form of big budget movies and no longer jut in four-colored prints.

DC Entertainment and Warner Bros. hav finally gave fans the glimpse of what their version of a cinematic universe looks like. If the fans have the fever and rage to react probably they’ll never understand why some have mixed reactions.

“You’re going to war, He’s not our enemy.” – Alfred Pennyworth

There are so many notable scenes in this more than 3-minute trailer that shows why DC is taking a different route in presenting their kind of cinematic universe. It took Zack Snyder almost three years to put this together and the tone takes cue from the Dark Knight Trilogy that featured Christian Bale as Batman and directed by Christopher Nolan, which have no connection either to Man of Steel or this movie.

A few scenes from the teaser trailers where used for this one that includes the bat signal and the exploding rocket, where Superman saved the astronauts. There’s also the scene where Superman in the sky expanding it where the witnessing people trapped in roof painted an ‘S’. This gives connection to Man of Steel where Bruce Wayne witnessed the battle in Metropolis as a Wayne Enterprise building collapse with a lot of casualties.

“Black & Blue, God vs Man. Day vs Night, The red capes are coming.“–- Lex Luthor

DC and Warner is not flinching they are building their cinematic universe in a grand scale with a dark and serious tone that deviates from what the fans has got used to with Marvel and this is something they should accept with an open mind.

Something that’s different and not-so close to its comic book material is not half that bad, but pretty much showing how epic in scale can a superhero film can go. Zack Snyder is certainly is trying to make sure the fans will see his vision of what a DC Comics film should be and this trailer certainly gives credence that yes… The red capes are coming.
