The Force is Strong with These Toys
The line stretches from outside as fans await the release of the new Star Wars: The Force Awakens merchandise. Among the most wanted are the 6” Black Series that definitely flew out of its toy shelves at the SM Mall of Asia’s main atrium where the event was held.
But Hasbro is not the only toy manufacturer who released most of the Star Wars related merchandise. Sphero has opened its pre-order for the BB-8 protocol droid going for PhP 12,499.75 pesos (Sold in the US at $150.00 dollars). This android power astromech droid is voice command and can doo a lot of things. But if you opt to a less expensive version Hasbro also released their version a little bigger and its remote controlled at PhP 4,499.75 pesos.
They also have 3D wall night lights featuring iconic Star Wars characters from the six previous movies. Certainly Star Wars has given you the reason that The Force HAS Awaken in the fandom as fans await its theatrical release on December 16, 2015.
No Seen in Toy Shelves
There are other toys some have been anticipated that never made it to #ForceFriday in the Philippines. Hasbro’s Furbacca a Furby version of Chewbacca was not on display (which retails in the US at $79.99 dollars).
The other line of toys is from LEGO where sets based from the upcoming film were not present probably it will be available between this launch or before you see the film so stay tuned for sighting news and official announcements.
Another successful launch from Toy Kingdom similar to the days when LucasFilms and Hasbro collaborates the release of “The Phantom Menace” toys from 1999. The event was similar but this time on a bigger stage where the Philippines is one of the 12 countries to unveil these merchandise.
The event doesn’t end here as Toy Kingdom continues #ForceFriday over the weekend up to Sunday as the BB-8 pre-order registration is available only until September 6, 2015. But if you are in the hunt for the other “The Force Awakens” merchandise and toys make the visit at Toy Kingdom stores.
