Triple Force Friday Continues Star Wars Midnight Tradition

It has now becoming a yearly tradition for Star Wars fans to flock to the SM Mall of Asia somewhere in October to make a vigil until midnight for the event called Force Fridays. The night before brings fans who love to get their hands on the latest merchandise from the franchise which is also waiting for the third installment of the new saga, The Rise Of Skywalker.

Just like the previous years, Force Fridays starts early with activities that will get those in line pumped as they await midnight. It's also the first time that they installed a countdown timer at the entrance of the exhibit area which gives more excitement as its ticks down to twelve. Star Wars Trivia was also asked from time to time to give fans gifts for their knowledge of the people and places from the galaxy far far away.

G.I. Joe #64 | Maneuvering for Position

07.25.2016 – For now going back to the classics that Marvel published back in the day as its featured comicbook. This month taking spotlight is G.I.Joe comicbooks that where published by Marvel from 1982 to 1984, but we’re not going to review the entire run. Though we’ll hand pick some interesting issues and give insight why it’s a significant feature for this month. This will be random pick that will be getting a look and for the first time we browse back to October 1987 cover date with G.I. Joe #64, which is written by Larry Hama with pencils by Ron Wagner, cover art done by Mike Zeck. In this issue we’ll divide the ongoing story arc and give you an idea why this issue is the classic pick for the month. First off the title of this issue is “Maneuvring for Position” as this mostly focused on the character that mostly is in the cover. You see the Baroness and Serpentor staring at Cobra Commander in his Battle Armor uniform, which was also introduced in the Hasbro toyline when “G.I. Joe: The Movie” was released also in 1987.

03.10.2015 – Action figures these days has been on a decline with comes to quality much so the interest is now being marketed now straightforward to its “Age 5 & Up” category, while expanding the product that would also cater to collectors. When Marvel’s Avengers was about to be released in cinemas Hasbro released their “3.75 inch” figures, but it was not easily accepted due to the quality of the figures having them include oversized weaponry. Jeremy Renner’s Hawkeye was one of them figures that didn’t actually look like the actor, but still everyone bought it to build the Avengers.

Marvel Legends: Madame Masque!

05.24.2014 – Madame Masque is another relatively unknown Marvel character first appearing in Tales of Suspense #98 (February 1968) as one of Iron Man’s super villains. She was created by Stan Lee and Gene Colan who also happens to be an occasional love interest to Iron Man’s Tony Stark. She can be branded as an anti-hero who has her own agenda wearing a golden mask to cover up her disfigured face, continue to do so after her face was completely healed.

05.22.2014 – The Beast is a founding member of the original X-Men and also a member of the Avengers. The character has been portrayed by three actors in the live action films namely Steve Bacic (X2 Cameo), Kelsey Grammer (X3: The Last Stand), and Nicholas Hoult (First Class & Days of Future Past). Originally the Beast first appeared in X-Men #1 Vol.1 as a normal human being with oversize hands and feet. But over the years he undergoes progressive transformations.

Marvel’s the Avengers had one female lead in the Black Widow portrayed by Scarlett Johansson who will reprise her role in Captain America: The Winter Soldier. In the comic books the Black Widow’s character is more layered and defined as to he she is being a double or triple agent. Black Widow first appeared in Tales of Suspense #52 in 1964 and her origins revealed in Avengers #44 in 1967.
