Comic-Con® 2016 | Legends of Tomorrow [Season 2]

07.22.2016 – “Legends of Tomorrow” certainly put up a great time travel adventure, but it was also got bumpy in the process when it was still learning how to deal with all the time paradox and what not.

This gave time for the producers to slowly craft its own narrative away from the shadows of “Arrow” and “The Flash” by making their own destiny to prove that they can be a force worth catching up now headed for a second season of surprises.

There’s not much to reveal when the producers and the cast was at this year’s San Diego Comic Con when they already have all things set up for season 2. Rex Tyler appearing in the tail end of the season finale revealing the Justice Society was enough for the fans and long time readers of DC Comics to get crazy.

But besides the hoopla over the Justice Society there were also new additions to the team. This includes the remaining lead cast from the Waverider and a new threat that is ‘The Legion of Doom,’ which is also homage to the villains that opposed the Super Friends in that classic cartoon.

“For season two of Legends, we decided that the perfect antagonist for TV’s first-ever team of superheroes would be TV’s first-ever team of super villains, recruited from the ranks of Arrow and The Flash’s deadliest adversaries," said executive producer Marc Guggenheim. "Being huge fans of the Challenge of the Super Friends, we’ve come to call this group our ‘Legion of Doom.’”

If this doesn’t excite you they are still casting the Justice Society of America, the golden age team and precursor to the Justice League. Of course you already have Rex Tyler (The Hour Man) and in addition they will have Obsidian, Stargirl, and Dr. Mid-Nite to the roster that would be the JSA which had the biggest reaction during the panel. The sizzle reel may not be enough to get excited, but “Legends of Tomorrow” sets up what would be something big for the upcoming season.

"DC's Legends of Tomorrow" airs Fridays at 9 PM on Warner TV Asia same day broadcast by The CW in the US.
