They represent what the country has to offer and yet rarely the contemporary art scene has broken that culture. But for those that has the eye for what is truly that invites you knows there’s more than just a brush stroke of a painting surely gets euphoric about something that really stands out namely Ronald Ventura’s “Bobro’s World” at the Sixinch by Secret Fresh. |
The latest celebrated works of Ronald Ventura gets a surprising spotlight during the height of the artful weekend away from the people lining up to see are here is Ventura’s first solo show with Secret Fresh highlighted at the Sixinch Gallery titled “Bobro’s World” a solo debut but not his first. Ronald Ventura’s has been in the contemporary art scene building an impressive portfolio since getting noticed in 2012 with one of his previous art shows.
Besides a lot of art collectors taking notice he has been featured by well-known broadsheets and other media sites for his concept in incorporating western, pop culture, and graffiti as his style in producing memorable works that continues to be acknowledge in other countries internationally.
His recent solo show that’s featured at Secret Fresh takes centrestage with a bulldog installation as the main entrance that has his latest works that is on display inside the Sixinch Gallery. You’ll find most of paintings feature not only the bulldog that greets you when you enter the premises. But there is other breed of canine pedigree that adorns most of Ventura’s masterpiece.
In cooperation with “The Working Animals: Art Projects” that was curated by Ruel Caasi, also a well-known artists in his own right put together Ronald Ventura’s Solo Show that takes you into a different world that shows every facet of his work through those concepts. This impressive lineup of masterpieces truly remarkable sharing each narrative that combines classic cartoons with photos of expressive human beings and also a set of anthropomorphic dogs greets you as you make the entrance to “Bobro’s World.”
The title itself is a play on words “Brother” and “Dumb” that gives you a whole new meaning to the word suggesting a place of fraternity that is about blind loyalties and unwavering disobedience that shows camaraderie that forges chaotic groups and subjectivities together. This translates and draws notions and turns them into metaphors through exploration of formal elements and reference to visual culture as described in the works featured inside this gallery.
