Toy Sightings | Playmobil Figures 14

02.23.2019 – Playmobil has been lukewarm with the latest released of toys in the Philippines lately.

There were no new toys based on the “How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World” on display in time for the movie’s release and the toys based on the Dragons TV series were not updated to stock as the closest to the merchandise based on the said film.

Currently, Bankee Inc the local distributor of Playmobil has A LOT of plans in store for 2019 and some surprises but they’re keeping it to their chest until things considered official.

For now some of the Playmobil range of products has been sighted at Toytown would merit as considered a silver lining for enthusiasts that collect the brand.

If you haven’t been roaming around the local stores in Manila chances are you haven’t seen the Playmobil Figures Series 14 for boys and girls. The latest blind packs has already been sighted at Toytown, Bankee’s own retail store had it first with a few range of assortments from Playmobil.

Unfortunately, there’s no new restocks of favorites like the Ghostbusters range of collectibles as what they have are the wave one series based from the film, but no second wave that’s more inspired from the animated series the ‘Real” Ghosbusters. Most of what you see on retail are the ones that started being available from 2017 and not much from 2018.

The new Playmobil Figures Series 14 is a welcoming interest for collectors who started investing on the toyline since Bankee acquiring the rights as the sole distributor from LAJ Marketing in 2016. Although inconsistent with the Playmobil range of toys Bankee manage to bring in some of the sets not available in Australia that includes the blind pack series. There’s more reception of the brand in Asia having a satellite store in Singapore and most of the sets being available in Malaysia through Hamley’s.

Like the previous series the fourteenth set of Playmo Figures is divided for boys and girls featuring some rehashed but updated characters. Both set of figures are retailed at PHP 199.75 pesos ($3.85 USD | $5.40 AUD) which is now available.

Bonus Sighting

Besides the much discussed Playmobil Figures from Series 14 there have been some interesting sets also available one of them is the City Action “Space Exploration Carry Case” Set Number 9101, which could be an interesting set for those into science fiction as rarely most who are into Playmobil gravitate to the more popular medieval themed Knights retailed at PHP 1,399.75 pesos ($27.00 USD | $37.60 AUD).

So far there’s not much new product in other retail stores other than Bankee’s direct Toytown store with the latest Playmobil Figures Series 14. Surely, the local distributor for Playmobil has something for everyone just stay tuned for updates soon!
