| 06.03.2012 – The Dark Knight Rises is a month away but the toys have started appearing in local retail stores here in the Philippines.
Most of them are now available at Toys R’ US as we also checked in other stores like Toy Kingdom but they have not turn up. The price points for these figures are bit upscale for the 4 inch size that is packed with their “Quick Tek” gimmick. One notable product is the “Attack Armor Bat-Pod” with an added armor shell of the basic bike that was spawned from the Tumbler that was damaged in The Dark Knight movie. |
There are also interesting role play gadgets for the kids who want to imitate the Dark Knight. So far this is just a first wave of the toy line and there’s no sign of the bigger figures from the Movie Scale that has more articulation than the smaller counterparts.
The smaller scale would have been improved from the previous 4 inch toy line that was released in 2008 but it’s still the same figure with a new mold.
So far the bright spot on this series is the Bane character which is the major villain in Rises and the fact how cool Batman’s vehicles are somewhat true to the movie that’s about to be shown next month.
The Dark Knight Rises opens in regular cinemas and IMAX Theater on July 20, 2012 from DC Entertainment and Warner Bros. Pictures Philippines!
