|08.16.2012 – The remake of Total Recall is entirely a new film with its viral marketing looks convincing when you visit the “Welcome to Rekall” website from Sony Pictures official site. Unlike the classic film from 1990 this is closely based on the 1966 short story "We Can Remember It for You Wholesale" by Philip K. Dick.
The movie is already playing in the North America since August 3, 2012 but it’s about to be shown in the Philippines on August 22, 2012 nationwide.
The film has such a fan fare of interest since everyone knows about the original which stars a certain Arnold Schwarzenegger in a lead role.
The new film is directed by Lens Wiseman and Collin Farrell takes the lead role which shares top billing with hottest women of today in Kate Beckinsale and Jessica Biel. Throw in the other men in Bryan Cranston, John Cho, and Bill Nighy in their supporting roles you got something to anticipate if this film will make its own having heavily compared to the classic.
But the viral marketing of this film is really impressive with details of the technology used in the film certainly worth going back to the realm of science fiction with such genius from the original short story of Philip K. Dick.
The “Welcome to Rekall” site has a very attractive girl enticing you to try the technology which we’re sure implications of the device have already given us an idea of its consequences.
Certainly you’ll be intrigued on what really happens in the film but for now this gives us something to look forward to without giving you anymore of the premise than being entertained by the action that comes with it.
Total Recall opens in the Philippines on August 22, 2012 nationwide from Columbia Pictures. For more details about promotions and your chance to win free tickets to see the films LIKE the Official Facebook Page!
