NBA 2K13 Official Launch in the Philippines!

10.05.2012 – The most anticipated basketball game simulation from 2K Sports in cooperation of X-Play Online Games, Inc. (subsidiary of IP e-Games) which brings you the top-selling and top-rated NBA video game in NBA 2K13. It’s now being launched in all platforms from Microsoft’s Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system, PSP (PlayStation Portable) system, and Windows PC. The game will be released also on Wii U and the upcoming Wii U game consoles.

The Philippine launch was held at the National Sports Grill which is a perfect venue with an NBA-type motif to the place brings more interest in one of the much awaited games this year.

It’s now official that there’s an actual Philippine launch for one of the best video games simulation coming out not only for the PC Games but also in game console platforms. The excitement builds up when they have showed some interesting features of the game itself.

The NBA 2K13 is not all about the new improvements of the game but also has something for the serious ballers out there. It gets a Midas touch from the executive producer in Jay-Z, the multi-platinum recording artist. The music icon personally curated the game’s 24-song soundtrack, and lent his artistic vision to its interactive menus, pre-game introductions, and more.

There are new refreshing improvements in the game which introduces the Control Stick which for you to able to do all dribble moves to the right analog stick, as well as shooting, passing, and post moves. This strings together devastating crossovers and clutch shots for maximum control and effectiveness.

The other new feature is the Dynamic Shot Generator which lets you make the shots dynamically made on the fly with all-new collision physics created in real-time. There’s also Signature Skills with each players unique abilities can alter the course of the game. The players modelled to have impact in the game in their own unique way, from Derrick Rose as “Floor General” to Kevin Durant being “The Closer.” You get to learn to use each player’s abilities in changing the games in your own terms.







They have revamped the passing system with improved fast break situations that gives players more control. Fire a bounce passes to a cutting teammate or go “Lob City” in transition would give you more edge in how you take the game to the next level. This game will definitely benefit the gamers in the real world as it has the Shoe Creator where you get to design your own sneakers from the group up that can be purchased through NIKE ID.

X-Play raffled of three official replica jerseys of the three basketball players appearing on the cover namely Blake Griffin (Los Angeles Clippers), Kevin Durant (Oklahoma City Thunder), and Derrick Rose (Chicago Bulls).

This event is simultaneously launched in other countries around Asia in all platforms and the excitement did not stop there.

NBA 2K13 will have special events organized by X-Play with the tournament which will have eight mall eliminations beginning from November 10, 2012 to January 12, 2013 which will have six games in Greater Manila Area, One in Cebu, and One in Davao.

All you have to do is present your NBA 2K13 box with the X-Play sticker in order to qualify and the winner per elimination gets to take home PhP 5,000 pesos cash & NBA Exclusive Merchandise. The finals will be on January 19, 2013 and the grand winner is awarded PhP 50,000 pesos and Two (2) tickets to the NBA All-Star Game or Play-offs.
