10.05.2012 – The most anticipated basketball game simulation from 2K Sports in cooperation of X-Play Online Games, Inc. (subsidiary of IP e-Games) which brings you the top-selling and top-rated NBA video game in NBA 2K13. It’s now being launched in all platforms from Microsoft’s Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system, PSP (PlayStation Portable) system, and Windows PC. Pre-TGS 201212: Sony unveils a new Playstation 3 model

During its Pre-Tokyo Game Show event, Sony revealed a newer and sleeker model of their Playstation 3, which will come in 250GB and 500 GB packages. The latest redesign is 20% less weight and 25% less volume compared to the current PS3 slim. The 250GB model goes on sale in the US (Black color only) along with Uncharted 3 / Dust 514 on September 25th.

Sony actually preps up a PSPhone!

I couldn't believe it til I saw the article today, but finally, Sony has merged gaming with cellphones!

As seen in an article posted by Kotaku, Sony has merged one of their Sony Ericsson phones with a Playstation Portable, creating the hybrid "Playstation Phone" prototype unit you see above you in a pic posted by Engadget. The tech is reportedly based off Google's own Android 3.0 platform, and will have a dedicated custom Sony Marketplace for users to download and purchase games for this unit. Call me skeptical, but I'm not totally sure if I want to merge my gaming and cellphone privileges with this gadget here. First off, there's no analog stick, and it's going to be replaced by a touch-sensitive track pad instead. Secondly, like the PSP Go before it, the PSPhone will not have any UMD or Memory Stick compatibility, so old PSP users can rule out any of their older stuff being used for this baby. Even with specs reported to be 1GHz Qualcomm CPU, 512MB of RAM, 1GB of ROM, and a screen "in the range of 3.7 to 4.1 inches", I'm not sure if I'll be picking up a PSPhone just yet, which is said to be released fall next year. Video Game Review: Dead Rising 2

Zombie season seems to be in full swing these days, especially with a lot of great stuff popping out of the woodwork that use the undead ghouls as plot material to bake into stories full of blood, carnage, and gore. Thanks to the influence of zombie lore godfathers like the great George A. Romero, you can expect popculture to utilize the "zombie apocalypse" scenario anywhere at any given time, and it could literally explode in your face just as fast as the ghoulish epidemic spreads with just a single bite.

Nintendo 3DS!

Nintendo announced that the 3DS will arrive in Japan on February 28th, at a cost of 25,000 Yen. 3DS will be hitting America and the UK in March 2011, no price has been confirmed.

The best thing about the 3DS is that the system will let players download older games from games from NES, Game Boy, Game Boy Colour and Game Boy Advance. It seems cool but will it beat the iPod Touch.

09.15.2010 - The Halo Reach Midnight Launch at San Diego had a long line as our US correspondents Mach Diesel of SMU Toys and his wing man Sean Dizzy went to do a coverage and grabbed the most exclusive decor, The Halo: Reach Legendary Edition. Almost midnight our fellow US-based Geek Heads specially Sean had took home this 10-pound slab of the franchise's new heroes in sculpture form. Available and was released during the midnight launch.

Mario Bros. Celebrates 25 Years!

09.14.2010 - Mario Bros. is celebrating its 25th Anniversary. Originally released for the Super NES in 1993. Nintendo will be releasing an All-Stars compilation featuring enhanced remakes of Super Mario Bros., Super Mario Bros. 2, Super Mario Bros. 3 and Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels. The game is known as Super Mario Collection in Japan and a second version was created that bundled in Super Mario World on a single cartridge.

Swing into video game Spidey heaven with Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions!

Timzster's back, and he's gotten something awfully good to review from the video game department!

Sensational. Spectacular. AMAZING.

These words are famously paired and associated with Marvel Comics' flagship character and web-slinging superhero, Spider-Man. As it goes, everyone's friendly neighborhood wallcrawler has dedicated his life to using his powers responsibly by defending his fellow man from just about every little freak and evildoer out to terrorize society. His feats of strength, agility, and heroism have inspired and awed readers over the years, and more than once, the character has sprang over to several other mediums like movies and games where fans can see first hand how savvy a guy with radioactive spider powers can be when he goes toe to toe with the bad guys. Yes, Spider-Man is a hero and popculture icon throughout the entire world, and he continues to see publication and exposure to this very day.


All that being said, it should come as no surprise that ol' webhead has a new game out in the market today... and it's not an ordinary one at that. Oh no, this is a Spider-Man game that not only stars the main guy we all know and love, but his alternate reality counterparts as well! We're talking about 3 other Spider-Men from different worlds and universes, and some of these guys have their own cult following that's as large as the original's! They're not some mere palette swap colored freaks thrown in for variation. The three have their own distinct personalities and wit to share, and in fact one of them isn't even another Peter Parker! Yes, it's been quite a wait, but finally, Activision's newest and latest attempt at making the definite Spider-Man game has come to pass... and it's pretty damn good to boot! I kid you not, true believers, this is the real deal here, and it's an experience no diehard Spider-Man fan should miss!
