The popularity of the mystery blind bags of micro figures has been popularized by the pioneer brand of building toy. You put together Hasbeo’s KRE-O and based the G.I. Joe themed sets from the classic “A Real American Heroes” line from the 1980s and you’ve got something going on here.
Currently Hasbro and OxFord Toys, the Korean toy manufacturer of construction toys handling the KRE-O has already released three series of blind bags of micro figures for you to collect. The series features classic characters in their block form from the G.I. Joe franchise and collecting 12 in each wave that includes a chase micro figure from the Adventure Team of the 1970s series.
Here are a few characters that Hasbro sent to give a closer look, and if you grew up collecting the action figures you’ll know three of the 12 figures you might want to collect from the third wave of G.I. Joe blind bags…
G.I. Joe’s Night Spotter/Sniper looks good translated into his block form that includes a backpack with a 2x2 flat piece with printed meal art for him to survive the harsh dark jungles. He also comes with his trusty sniper riffle with a bipod that is a separate piece. He wears a bonnet and a serious face with his signature red goggles.
The only woman in the third wave of blind bag that’s based from the 1985 classic action figure way off compared to her Sunbow/Marvel cartoon model. She carries her signature javelin, brown backpack and a baseball cap. Unfortunately there was no extra hair piece if any case she wants to remove her cap.

This cold slithering punk from the Australian outback certainly ‘is on fire’ armed with his signature flamethrower just like in the cartoon and action figure, where his appearance is from. Torch is ready to wreck havoc against the G.I. Joe team. Of course he needs the rest of the Dreadnoks and his boss Zartan to lead the way.
These three characters are only but a few micro figures included in the third wave of G.I. Joe micro figures that’s expanding. Let’s hope that Hasbro keeps producing this line as recently of late there’s no new G.I. Joe to celebrate its 50th anniversary, but for now these versions of ‘A Real American Hero’ version of KRE-O will do.
KRE-O G.I. Joe series 3 blind bags are produced by Hasbro and OxFord Toys, which is only available in selected parts of North America. These are only sold in selected parts of Asia and not available on retail in the Philippines.
