Hand Drawn, Quartered, & Other Tell-Tales Volume 2!

11.06.2013 – When you go to Komikon the first thing you do is find the comic books that where advertised in the social media. Most of title sold out through “word of mouth” which becomes hot sellers for being relatively unknown.

If you heard of Ariel Atienza chances are you’ve been to Komikon. He mostly can be found going to art gallery launches but have you seen his work lately? A few would remember his creations but for the casual ones you should know his diverse works…

Mico Suayan Comic Book Signing at Comic X Hub!

07.08.2012 – Yesterday Comic X Hub held a mini-comic book signing for Mico Suayan which also features local indie artists Ariel Atienza, Ernest Fiestan, Allen Geneta, Carlos San Juan and Julius Villanueva.

The event started at 2pm at the Comic X Hub store a.k.a “The Warehouse” at the 3rd floor of the Bloomingdale Plaza. But Mico won’t be at the store until later in the afternoon since he came from a private event. He signed and made some sketches to the fans that came on that day.

Summer Komikon 2012 Event Highlights & Full Coverage!

05.28.2012 – Summer Komikon 2012 unveiled its bag of goodies promoting the Filipino Komiks Culture by acknowledging home grown innovation with the launch of Tiktik: The Aswang Chronicles at the same time welcoming international artist Mark Millar to his first convention.

There where so much to appreciate about the fourth Summer Komikon and it was definitely one big pot of gold at the end of rainbow. There’s not enough talent rarely seen in the comics industry and only a few revelries that would dare make the trip to see it.

See The Highlights For Komikon 2011!

10.11.2011 - Komikon 2011 is a month away and the most anticipated event of the year. If you grew up with the local pop culture scene in the Philippines surely you won’t miss this one. On its 7th year Komikon is bringing the iconic artists headed by Toni DeZuniga who pave the way for some the current artists making the waves in the international scene.


This year they have the Komikon Reader’s Choice Awards where you can vote for your favorite local artist through the Komikon website.
