| 04.04.2016 – Kris Abrigo has been featured previously part of art shows and this is his third solo this time at the SIXINCH gallery. Where all his creations were launched featuring new art that will be on exhibit for two weeks.
This is SIXINCH gallery’s fourth featured artist dating back to its opening night in December 2015. The corloful images of well known personalities in culture takes centerstage for this show titled “Premium Aquarium!” |
The exhibit features paintings by Kirs Abrigo that reflects innovative hybrid style of modernist abstraction and trace representational elements that has something to do with social issues and the politics of street art giving you an idea that is part of his third solo show. The colorful tone gives you a different perspective of these personalities that define what they are in the present as represented in Abrigo’s imagination of these individuals.
It’s quite noting that most of his subjects are from real life not connected to the familiar popular culture rather taking them in a different look. There some interesting representation of these personalities as featured in the images below:
