Free Comic Book Day has become an annual event that most comic book readers look forward to. In the Philippines, it has become an annual tradition thanks to Comic Odyssey, which first initiated this annual celebration for fans in the country, and bookstores and other comic shops followed suit. It has become a tradition, and Free Comic Book Day; with that, Comic Odyssey localized the event dubbed “Araw ng Libreng Komiks” in Tagalog, the native language of Filipinos, as Komiks with the ‘K’ has an industry in its own right dating back to the late 1930s. It’s an appropriate “Tagalized” event.

04.24.2015 – Free Comic Book Day is less than 10 days and fans have been trooping to this annual pilgrimage wondering where to go to get their free stuff. You’re in luck because there are only a few places to go through to stand in line next Saturday. The event has been around since 2002 and for those new people who have heard about this through word of mouth should know this is not just about free stuff.
