First Look: Stephen Amell as Green Arrow for CW's "Arrow"

Tvline.com has released the very first "first look" image of actor Stephen Amell as Oliver Queen/ Green Arrow for the new upcoming superhero TV series by The CW called "Arrow".
Considering it's based on the DC Comics' emerald archer, it does have an odd title. Nevertheless, it's going to be a "darker and hard-edged show", as executive producer David Nutter points out.

Also released is the official synopsis for the new TV series, which goes like this:

"After being marooned for five years on a remote island, former billionaire playboy Oliver Queen returns with a mysterious agenda and a lethal set of new skills that he uses in a war on crime."

While it has no relation to the other Warner Bros. and CW TV series Smallville, Arrow will follow the same path of retelling Green Arrow's origins and adventures in his early years. For more info, visit the source posts at tvline.com, Comic Book Movie, and Io9
