07.01.2012 – Congratulations to Froilan Calayag and Ramona Dela Cruz-Gaston for a very successful exhibit last night which unveiled “The 7 Chronicles of Madness” at the Vinyl on Vinyl in front of a huge crowd.
There friends and family was there to support this huge endeavor and most promising centerpiece which is the “The Mad Calendar.” This also features five individual “oil on canvass” paintings showing off their signature artistic creations that packed the gallery area. |
It was one of Vinyl on Vinyl’s biggest art unveilings since Alien: Natives last year which featured creations by Angry Woebots and Dee Jae Pa’Este.
The centerpiece of course is “The Mad Calendar” which by far is the image gratifying collaboration between Calayag and Dela Cruz- Gaston. The images are such inspiration where all the pieces in that painting happen simultaneously giving the viewer some thought provoking imagery.
Last nights crowd drawer definitely was one of the best collaborations in Pop Art and if you missed it we’re giving you some breakdown of the images in that 84 x 84 oil on canvass work between Froilan Calayag and Ramona Dela Cruz-Gaston at our Official Facebook Page (Please do LIKE our page, shamless plugging).

The other works featured in 20 x 20 oil on canvass encased in glass frame and they are “The Archer’s Apple” (Ramona Dela Cruz-Gaston), “The Stupid Cupid Gang” (Froilan Calayag), “The Four-Leaf Clover” (Ramona Dela Cruz-Gaston), “The Nectar Garden” (Froilan Calayag), “The General” (Ramona Dela Cruz-Gaston), and “The Wishes Fishes” (Froilan Calayag).
There where celebrities and well known personalities from the Urban Pop Art community who graced the event just to witness the marvelous creations of Calayag and Dela Cruz-Gaston. The event lasted past midnight and the exhibit will be on display for the next two to three weeks.

was here on during the opening and the Mad Calendar really left a big impression on me. That is one of the most detailed are I've seen as of yet.
