Good things truly come to those who wait, and for Rurouni Kenshin (Samurai X) fans in the Philippines, that time is coming this October! As previously reported that Warner Bros. Philippines did not have the rights until news that SM Cinemas has the exclusive rights to show it.

By way of SM Cinema's Facebook page and the millions (and millions) of RK fans reposting, Rurouni Kenshin is FINALLY coming to Philippine shores this October 17, 2012 exclusively on SM Cinemas!

UPDATE (9/13 @ 1:10AM): The film is still pushing through with its release, and an article by ZEN Otaku Honbu clarifies matters on the SM Cinema Facebook page post. The October 17 date is still tentative... But Rurouni Kenshin will indeed be showing on the RP!

The live action movie adaptation of Nobuhiro Watsuki's epic Japanese manga series tells the tale of a legendary swordsman atoning for his past and living as a wanderer. It has been beloved by millions across the globe, especially when it was made into an Anime series that featured an epic soundtrack with memorable music by popular JPop bands.
