Secret Fresh | The Hidden Fortress

The relevance of Street Art Culture has changed in the Philippines, and those who continue to stay true to their core to what they‘ve been from the start are truly genuine in nature. Trip63 has been supportive of the grassroots organizing events like the Meeting of Styles and representing communities like Pilipinas Street Plan.

This low key visual artist shines and still carry that street smart, but humble demeanor often unnoticed and unappreciated for his contribution to the culture. But this time this is his spotlight through his sixth solo show for Secret Fresh who deserves every accolade being true to himself.

Co-founded the “Hidden Fortress” shop that features all their works as well as a tattoo shop, which he pays tribute that is aptly titled for his solo show. This solo show puts a spotlight with all-new five of his works. This colourful graphic and art style painting is accompanied by an installation that features the logo of the store he co-founded with his fellow artists.

The main art work represents a mix of visual art deco that compliments with the installation that represents his artwork. The other four paintings represents his fond for popular culture characters in animation and comic strips that depicts a collage of Uncle Scrooge, Richie Rich, and Rich Uncle Pennybags from Monopoly to Snoopy & Charlie Brown of Peanuts. There’s so much colour on Trip’s work that define his art style.

Perhaps his most deep cut that most don’t notice how he also features Garfield, Odie, and their owner Jon Arbuckle.
