IMAX screenings of The Hobbit get first nine minutes of Star Trek: Into Darkness

Following in the footsteps of Christopher Nolan's two Batman movie sequels, Paramount Pictures will be attaching a preview of the first nine minutes of Star Trek Into Darkness with IMAX screenings of "The Hobbit" this coming December 14!

UPDATE: Enewsi confirmed that Robert Orci posted a behind the scenes picture from the FIRST Star Trek film, though the writer promises an official set photo from the second flick will be up soon.

Via Robert Orci's official Twitter page and Enewsi, the first official set photo of J.J. Abrams Star Trek Sequel is now online! Showing the director himself together with his cast and crew aboard the bridge of the U.S.S Enterprise, filming for the new Trek flick is underway, and is expected for release sometime in 2013! Ridley Scott's "Promethues" teaser trailer

Just like that, another teaser trailer for another much anticipated 2012 film has arrived, and it comes from the legendary director of the "Alien" and "Blade Runner".

Via Screen Rant and iTunes, the first official trailer of Ridley Scott's "Prometheus" has finally made its way online! Chronicling a sci-fi adventure where a team of explorers seek the origins of mankind, the film takes on an "Alien" like premise when they discover a threat unlike no other, which brings humanity into a battle for their very survival. Via his own Twitter and Yahoo! Movies, Iron Man director Jon Favreau has just revealed the first official poster for his upcoming 2011 flick, Cowboys and Aliens! The film, starring Daniel Craig, Harrison Ford, Olivia Wilde, and Sam Rockwell, is a sci-fi western that depicts Cowboys and Indians in the Old West who have to team up and face off an alien invasion bent on destroying their planet. Due for release on July 29 next year, this is looking pretty promising to watch!

07.23.2010 - Tron Legacy had a huge booth at Comic-Con and it was a definite sci-fi treat to the fans. It was heavenly to see the light cycle on display that made the old school seemed like yesterday...

Predators: They Hunt, They Adapt...

Yo guys, Timzster here with another entry from PopCulture Crusader:

Back when I was a lad, I had no clue what I was getting myself into when I saw the film Predator for the first time. In my eyes, all I saw was another gung-ho flick starring the cool "Austrian Oak" action star known as Arnold Schwarzenegger, leading a military elite team on a rescue mission in Guatemala, with the typical action bravado I enjoyed back in the 80's. However, that bold adventurous scenario quickly turned grim and menacing when something evidently "out-of-this-world" starts hunting and taking down Arnold's team quickly and efficiently, learning to adapt and systematically taking out the whole force, eventually leaving the guy the sole survivor to take on the "Predator" on his own.

In the end, the future Governator did the deed and killed the alien hunter, escaping with his life intact but leaving us, the audience, with the knowledge that humanity has a powerful adversary from the stars... the Predator.
