Besides Filbar’s and Comic Odyssey having their respective booths there are also event partners and sponsor that will have their own booth. But the highlight for this event are the Filipino artists who made a name in the international comicbook industry that have their respective areas that you’ll immediately find in the newly opened Podium Hall at the sixth level of The Podium Hall.
Over the next two days there will be panels and talks that are aligned featuring some of the familiar faces in the local comicbook industry. Get the chance to meet and interact with the artists who worked on some of the famous comicbook titles in the US as well as see their local self-published works.
The newly opened Podium Hall may not be as big as let’s say Megatrade Hall, but you get an immediate look of the layout of the area and for those who plan to make the trip and spend the weekend for the next two days here are some of the booths:

Filbar’s 40th Anniversary Booth
Upon entering the main door on your left you’ll immediately see this booth packed with Funko Pop and other merchandise that Filabr’s is exclusively selling. Besides the comicbooks and other merch the primary stuff you’ll find is the limited edition Funko Pops that most collectors have been checking out in this area.
There are also other collectibles that they have exclusively including clothing. You’ll see some more surprises at Filbar’s for the next two days as the event happens. This is also the store’s 40th anniversary as one of the pioneering comicbook shops in the Philippines that brought Whilce to the country in his first visit in the 1990s.
Comic Odyssey with Planet X Comic Shop
Beside Filbar’s you’ll see Comic Odyssey busy with customers already looking at some of the exclusive variant covers and recently released hot titles. They also have a Funko area with some of their exclusives too. The back issue bins are provided by Planet X Comic Shop as you’ll see rows of long boxes of their back issues and most recent ones from the past month.
There are also some merchandise and limited released action figures, pins, and other collectible merchandise. There will be more from Comic Odyssey in the next few days of the event for those who won’t make it today.
LEGO Booth
At this area you’ll find some of the latest sets from 2019 and besides that a Play and Build activity area is set up for the kids. Besides that here are some special promos that you’ll find during the duration of Super Manila:
• For every ₱ 999.75 Pesos worth of single purchase take home a free Snow Speeder Polybag that is exclusive that you’ll find in this event.
• Toy Kingdom cardholders get 10% off on the latest sets from 2019.

Pilot Pens Philippines
Recently Pilot pens Philippines has announced Whilce Portacio as the new brand ambassador and they also have a dedicated booth featuring all his creations and works from DC and Marvel that is part of the background aesthetics that you’ll find in this area that also features all their products.
This booth is just beside LEGO and you won’t miss it that featured also the cover where Bishop first appeared in Uncanny X-Men #282.
55 Balete Booth
The next booth is the 55 Balete Drive; where Whilce used to open an art school there back in the 1990s. This booth has long tables for the artists that studied under Whilce Portacio and this booth will be the “reunion” for those artists before starting their career making a name for themselves.
Artists Area
Just in front of the 55 Balete Booth is the artist area and thete you can find Pol Medina creator of Pugad Baboy just beside the Comic Odyssey booth, where you can find all his previously published strips compiled into volumes of books and those limited edition mugs.
Next to Pol are more artist tables that they are all located in this area. You can also find Epik Studios and Harvey Tolibao’s HT Studios as you can see the artist doing a sketch for one of his fans as most of them will in this area for the next two days.
Main Stage
This is at the far end of the Podium Hall where chairs are set up to an elevated stage with a screen where it is currently playing some of the clips from Jay Ignacio’s upcoming documentary featuring legendary artist Alex Nino. You’ll find Marvel’s latest Filipina Superhero adorning the aesthetics of the stage background.
It is going to be a busy weekend for Super Manila as the next two days will be jam packed with fans and collectors trooping to the Podium Hall. If you have purchased early bird tickers you’re entitled for a special raffle.
