FCBD 2018 | Four Comic Shops in Adelaide

05.06.2018 – Free Comic Book Day has become a worldwide event that started as one of the campaigns in America to promote literacy and also introduce comic books to the next generation. Yesterday FCBD is a global event considered as “Christmas” for comic book fans all over the world as they march to their nearest shop. In Adelaide it has been hyped up a few days before Saturday with all four comic shops within the area had set to promote this annual gathering of comic book fans as well as inviting new readers to this medium.

05.04.2018 - Free Comic Book Day has become an annual revelry for readers, nerds, and fans alike. It’s like Christmas in May, but it is more related to comicbooks and at the same time promotes literacy as well as introducing new readers to the wonders of four-colour pages that’s been around as long as anyone who has picked up comics. For Greenlight Comics, this would be their third anniversary since opening their doors during the annual FCBD that’s a not-so-obvious coincidence to celebrate the store’s opening that made A LOT of sense moving forward. But things are just about to be set on the eve of the event on ‘Star Wars Day’.

Sights & Highlights: Mini-Komikon Night!

05.31.2013 – Visprint and Komikon Inc. team up to bring you Mini-Komikon Night as presented The National Book Development Board which features the Philippine comic industry that has the creators of Trese, Filipino Heroes League, Kuting Magiting, Beerkada, West Side and many more as well as the publisher Black Ink. The short but successful event featured talks by Budjette Tan how he developed the highly popular Trese comic book series with the upcoming sixth book this November. The event was visited my all walks of life who has appreciated the local komiks scene.
