Vinyl On Vinyl | DIKO Alam

“Diko Alam” is two words formed as a ‘pun’ playing off the name of the artist “Diko” and the Filipino word “Alam” meaning ‘know’ turning it into the phrase in English “Don’t Know” as the title of his latest solo art show featuring Gabriel Tiongson aka DIKO or collectively known as DIKO ART, which is his second show following a Two-Artist successful collaboration with Mimaaaaaaaaw last September of 2024 at the Grey Space Gallery. The New Zealand–based artist had his previous solo show also with Vinyl on Vinyl in 2023, which re-introduced his works and art style.

Vinyl On Vinyl | Critical Hit

Every artist evolves and learns living through life. Gabriel Tionson is on a pathway to learning at the same time facing numerous challenges unseen in the public spectrum. He’s gone through a lot of challenges and it is human to face them all and channel it into something new and creative that continues to process in his works. It is a critical hit, but like anyone, you go up and take the lessons and make them right from your perspective. It is something quite the title of his latest show, Critical Hit. The way his new works have changed is inspired by his childhood affinity with the 80s & 90s cartoons as well as his voracious appetite for comic books and videogames.

Art in the Park 2014: Vinyl on Vinyl!

03.24.2014 – Art in the Park is an annual event, where art galleries converge together with the artists from all mediums in this one day event. Vinyl on Vinyl has been part of this since the art gallery opened in February 2010. VoV has established itself as one of the art galleries that featured their own in-house artists like Anjo Bolarda, Gab Tiongson, Iyan De Jesus, and Danger Sanchez to name a few of the talents. They also had Jon Bugerman and Gary Baseman do a solo show too.

STGCC 2013: Vinyl on Vinyl at Artist Alley!

08.31.2013 – Are you ready for the Singapore Toy Game and Comic Convention (STGCC)? If you have been to the event last year and saw Vinyl on Vinyl then you won’t miss them this year situated at booth F56! For this year the urban lifestyle artists has the roster featuring Anjo Bolarda, Maf Shareen aka Wanton Doodle, Egg Fiasco, Sonny Liew, Gabriel Tiongson, Mashi, Quiccs, and Dark Bulb’s Nelz Yumul also of WeeWillDoodle!

09.02.2012 – Vinyl on Vinyl’s first appearance at Singapore Toy, Game, and Comic Convention was greeted with warm welcome with their partners 8-Bit Media and Invasion Comics & Collectibles. Ever since Vinyl on Vinyl opened in 2010 we’ve been part in helping promote their gallery and launches. STGCC 2012 has VoV present two distinct talents in Wendy Chew and Gabby Tiongson who are the main artists at the booth.
