HW Screen Time | Yellow Submarine

07.17.2017 – The “Yellow Submarine” is a song by the Beatles which was adapted into an animated theatrical feature film in 1968, which did not feature the voices of the fab four portrayed as Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band.

After almost fifty years the song that spin-off into the cultural animated classic Yellow Submarine still receive merchandise and in the 21st century it has produced a LEGO® Ideas set featuring all four members of the band and now in a Hot Wheels!

HW Tooned 58 of 250: The Homer!

01.26.2016 – The Simpsons is the longest running animated sitcom that’s clearly not for kids that also inspired other shows with almost similar themes. The show is currently on its 27th season they continue to relevant and interesting to this day.

In the Simpsons household a patriarch in the form of Homer J. Simpsons makes the show as interesting as its stories. Homer certainly on the lead role had once had the opportunity to design his own car dubbed “The Homer” which has also become an iconic vehicle beside the pink family car that Hot Wheels produced one in 2015.

HW Tooned 57 of 250: The Jetsons Capsule Car!

06.16.2015 – The future is a great possibility for imaginations when it comes to technology and what would define that era. This is also where those talented science fiction writers mine their ideas for a good story and yes the future is optimistic.

There’s one science fiction that catered to everyone and that’s The Jetsons, which is the complete opposite of The Flintstones. Hot Wheels produced the Flintstone car in 2013 of course you can’t have one for the other so they produced Capsule car in 2014.

HW Tooned II 88 of 250: Snoopy!

06.12.2015 – Every Hot Wheels car has a story it’s either based on the design or just an interesting conversation why this particular vehicle is unique. But when you talk about cars based on popular culture its something that is less discussed by its image.

There are a few things to think about the Peanuts gang’s pooch. There has been a diecast car that has Snoopy prints in them and also shaped like the beagle himself…

HW Workshop 191 of 250: Herbie The Love Bug!

02.28.2014 – Herbie: The Love Bug has been an iconic character that was first introduced in 1968 with its first film titled “The Love Bug” which stars Dean Jones and Buddy Hackett. An anthropomorphic 1963 Volkswagen Beetle with a life of its own.

There have been five films and one made for television that expands the stories about Herbie. The most recent one is Herbie Fully Loaded which was shown in 2005. There has been several versions of Herbie as die-cast cars and Hot Wheels released one for 2014...
