Black Widow #2: Trapped in a Web!

04.13.2016 – The new creative team for in the next chapter in Black Widow’s adventures may not be as grand as the other series launch by Marvel, but more like inviting new readers who are unfamiliar with the character in the comicbooks.

Mark Waid and Chris Samnee are very much familiar in putting up great narrative for characters not entirely known in the mainstream. They’ve definitely made Daredevil an impressive series and now they are dipping their hands in telling stories about Natasha Romanov that have elements inspired from spy novels and more cerebral how deep the character is going forward after the first issue sold out.

The Black Widow is one of the classic characters in the comicbooks not originally a founder of the Avengers. For the non-comicbook reading Marvelites this series focuses further where Mark Waid is taking the ex-SHIELD agent.

While Chris Samnee brings a fresh look at the Black Widow this is more of a ‘fun’ takes in the art department how explosive his works into the scenes. It’s the opposite when they did with Daredevil since he doesn’t carry guns and have to deal with explosions.

Black Widow #1: S.H.I.E.L.D.’S MOST WANTED!

03.04.2016 – Black Widow, the comicbook character has been synonymous with actor Scarlett Johansson thanks in part for her live-action portrayal appearing on Iron Man 2 and followed her evolution as being the core member of the Avengers in films.

The comicbook version has darker undertones and having been a double or triple agent Natasha Romanoff is certainly a puzzle that is hard to solve. She’s been around and there’s a lot of story to go through with this character now that Mark Waid and Chris Samnee has taking over the reigns in giving her that interesting narrative.

This new number #1 is an eye catcher with Christ Samnee you’ll immediately know its going to be a good run with this character having seen his work his Daredevil run you can’t go wrong with a little more grounded spy action. This time Waid and Samnee takes Black Widow to news heights and on the run.

It gives Black Widow a fresh perspective with enough action to give you enough fan service from the first page to the next issue. For Mark Waid to write a story of Natasha and translating it into pictures by Samnee is brilliantly done.

Scarlett Johansson's Dark Winter Soldier Connection!

03.25.2014 – Black Widow returns in Captain America: The Winter Soldier after taking part in the Battle of New York. She first made her Marvel Cinematic Universe in Iron Man 2 as “babysitter” to Tony Stark.

This is the third Marvel Studios’ film that the Widow makes an appearance portrayed by Scarlett Johansson. In the three outings she had her hair changed, but the character stayed a mystery until Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Could this be her revelation movie?

Marvel Universe: Black Widow!

03.17.2014 – For every super team there’s a female lead character that’s a member of this group. Marvel’s the Avengers had one female lead in the Black Widow portrayed by Scarlett Johansson who will reprise her role in Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

In the comic books the Black Widow’s character is more layered and defined as to he she is being a double or triple agent. Black Widow first appeared in Tales of Suspense #52 in 1964 and her origins revealed in Avengers #44 in 1967.

Marvel Universe Black Widow (Comic Series) with Light up Collector's Base

Presenting Black Widow with light-up collector's base from the Marvel Universe Comic Series Collection.

In a nutshell this is a repaint of the original Marvel Universe Black Widow - from silver utility belt and Widow Bites to gold (Which is more in-keeping with the modern Black Widow since she only used silver when she was going around in gray as can be seen in this Marvel Legends Black Widow) - with Jean Grey's head from her Red-Pheonix outfit from the Cyclops/Dark Pheonix Greatest Battles Comic-Book pack.

This is the one time where I feel a salvaged and re-purposed body-part is worth it because the original head was just so.... dead. And she comes with a special "S.H.I.E.L.D." light-up base that combines with five other bases to make a cool collection.

Humor: Black Widow Goes Wild!XD

Slash Film has a post up featuring this hilarious stop motion animated short video by French-Canadian animator Patrick Boivin, featuring a Hot Toys action figure of the Iron Man 2 version of Marvel's femme fatale superhero Black Widow, as portrayed by the sexy and lovely Scarlett Johansson! To see this video is just to believe, and it pits the Widow against some fierce competition also from the Hot Toys line, like fellow Iron Man 2 star and main villain Whiplash, the T-1000, Rocky Balboa, and heck even Batman! Johansson's likeness even gets to be goddamn War Machine in this one, so this is DEFINITELY worth checking out, just because it's titled "Black Widow Goes Wild"! LOL!XD
