04.23.2019 – Filbar’s is the oldest comic shop in the Philippines and in the past forty years it has evolved from just a section of a clothing store in Iloilo to a pop culture shop that not only caters into comics. But has become a multiverse of all things that makes nerds go crazy what’s popular in the local scenes such as collectibles, toys, and high end props. Recently, Filbar’s expanded its ever growing store to a new location, which at the newly renovated The Podium mall just at the back of SM Megamall. Since Free Comic Book Day is less than a few days away you might want to get familiarize with this store as one of those shops participating this year.

For the second year in the row Filbar’s will be participating organizing their FCBD event. 04.19.2015 – The Convergence signing events featuring Carlo Pagulayan and Michael Jason Paz doesn’t end at Filbar’s but it enough support and awareness that the Philippines have the most talented artists and creators working for DC Comics. This event is not only about promoting the release of Convergence, DC Comics mega-event but also some interesting things to come from the comic shop that has been around in the country since its found in 1979 and you’ll be surprise to know more…

FCBD 2014: Filbar's Surprises By The Numbers!

05.03.2014 – For those who want to avoid the huge crowd at The Fort BGC there are other comic shops that will participate in this year’s Free Comic Book Day. Its great timing also that they are also celebrating 35 years as a store that was established in 1979. If you’re familiar with Filbar’s its THAT comic shop who will be celebrating FCBD after being reintroduced with new management sometime in July 2013. This is also their first time to participate to be part of FCBD 2014. Last night preparations have been underway to get ready and welcome new customers at the door.

Kapow! Celebrates Marvel at 75!

03.23.2014 – Kapow! Universe, the Marvel Concept Store in the Philippines celebrated its 75the anniversary by promoting the upcoming Captain America: The Winter Soldier, which will be hitting the big screen on March 26, 2014. Local comic books artists led by Leinil Yu was at the store meeting with fans, singing comic books, and making sketches. The other local artists where just across the store supporting the celebration and launching the new Captain America vinyl by Funko Pop!

Filbar's Promo Lets You Watch The Dark World!

10.26.2013 – If you’re anticipating the upcoming screening of Thor: The Dark World to be shown in four days this might be interesting to Filbarbarians. The new store at the SM North Edsa has an exclusive promo. This is a tie-up to the Thor sequel with SM Cinema. If you haven’t visited the shop they have an exclusive offer for you to see the film on the regular day for free. Any fan who would want to see this film should come in their Thor gear. This might also help promote the new store that opened last week.

Indieket 2013: Filbar's to Unveil a Surprise!
