Komikon 2015: What You Missed on Day 1!

11.14.2015 – The one thing to describe Komikon 2015 is diversity. For the past ten years IT IS about the local comic books that where being produced and exclusively released in the this particular event. But over the years it organically evolves on its own becoming THE Convention local and foreign visitors go to annually. Now on its 11th year they have finally delivered the promise to becoming a two-day event!

Sights & Highlights at Indieket 2013!

08.12.2013 – Indieket this year was laid back despite the volume of people went to check out their local artists and their works. It was bigger than the previous year and there were several new comics and launches that made this event truly special. The doors opened at 10 AM there was already long lines that formed outside the Bayanihan Center. Upon entering you’ll see there were already comic shops that have set up their booth ready for you to dig into their back issue bins. Among the vendors who participated, Filbar’s have something more to reveal with their mini exhibit.

ICCON 2012: Iloilo Comic Con Preview!

12.01.2012 – This weekend the Philippine Komiks community the Western Visayas very first Iloilo Comic Con happening this Sunday December 2, 2012 in the activity center of the Robinsons Place opening mall hours where you’ll see some of the country’s top home grown talents. If your passion is reading comics and looking to see how established is the Philippine Komiks industry all you need is drop by the event and meet the talented artists. There is no entrance fee and some of the best known artists based in Manila will be present.

07.02.2012 – The Philippines has its popular culture in comics mostly is centered in the capital city of Luzon which is Metro Manila. Cebu will be having its third comic-convention this year and now Iloilo City is not far behind to have widespread interest in having their event. ILOILO COMIC CON also known as ILOILO COMICS CONVENTION or ICCON (pronounced as “icon”) is a non-stock, non-profit event/organization that aims to showcase the works and talents of Filipino artists and spanning the best of pop culture in the country and the world.

Pop Culture Personalities at STGCC 2012!

06.19.2012 – The Biggest Pop Culture event in Asia which is the Singapore Toys Games and Comics Convention won’t be well known by its moniker for making their guest known and acknowledged. It’s one of the main highlights for the upcoming event for this year.



The Cosplay or known as Costume Play has been a major draw in conventions around the world and people dressing up or masquerading into their favorite characters from known pop culture media of TV series, animation, comics and movies.

Before the school season begins Summer Komikon 2012 is just one day to show appreciation to our local talents. Originally an annual event that began in 2005 happening every last quarter of the year has spin-off and in its fourth year promoting the Filipino Komiks community.
