The Walking Dead: S3 Banner, S2 Blu-Ray/ DVD Deleted Scene, and FB Social Game Updates

AMC premieres its third season of The Walking Dead come October 14, and to give a taste of things to come, a new banner picture has premiered online courtesy of Comic Booked. Featuring Rick Grimes and the entire surviving cast returning as well as new characters Michonne and The Govenor, the new season comprised of 16 episodes is expected to be nastier and full of more guts and gore than ever.

San Diego Comic-Con news is going into a frenzy. With the revelation of startling and exclusive material in the showfloor, there's nothing else that would make a fan of comics, games, movies, and just about anything related PopCulture very happy. To that point, Marvel and Walt Disney are stepping up their game by revealing new info and footage from their upcoming films and sequels!

During the Marvel Studios panel discussion, the titles for the next installments of the Thor and Captain America movies were revealed.

Revealed by Marvel's Facebook page and Twitter, the House of Ideas has set up the amazing "Hall of Armor" display that will be featured in Iron Man 3!

The Dark Knight Rises: "A Fire Will Rise" Poster

Warner Bros. has released a brand new poster for Christopher Nolan's final entry into his Batman film saga, The Dark Knight Rises. With the tagline "A Fire Will Rise", the poster shows a determined looking Batman (Christian Bale), as he stands in front of a city of falling debris with a Bat-shaped logo, which was the same background seen in the first teaser poster. Legendary Action Star Jackie Chan retires from action movies

Many of you may know him as Drunken Master or the cop Lee from the Rush Hour movies, but regardless of how you've heard of him, Hong Kong action star Jackie Chan is a legend and icon. However, the man known for blending his martial arts prowess with his stuntman training and comedic antics has finally decided to put down the fighting gloves for good, announcing his retirement to the world during the Cannes Film Festival. His last film that he also directed, "Chinese Zodiac", will be the final film where he will be billed as an action star. Chan hopes to work on his acting muscles instead, and the 58-year old actor looks forward to taking it easy and resting well from the action and fighting spotlight.

Batman: Arkham City GOTY and Harley Quinn's Revenge announced

Expected by a lot of fans since hints of possible new content were coming, players now have a good reason to return to Arkham City, as Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and Rocksteady Studios gear up to release a new DLC adventure called "Harley Quinn's Revenge" for Batman: Arkham City! The new content picks up right after the final events of the game, and players will guide Batman and Robin in stopping The Joker's crazed girlfriend from unleashing her mad scheme. A Game Of The Year Edition for the game was also announced, and will feature all the DLC content in the package for a very reasonable price. Warner Bros. unveils "Man of Steel" banner!

Via their own new Facebook Page for the film, Warner Bros. has officially unveiled a new slick banner for their upcoming Superman reboot flick by Zack Snyder entitled "Man of Steel"! Starring Henry Cavill as Clark Kent/ Superman, the new movie will also be overseen and produced by Christopher Nolan, director of the popular Batman/ Dark Knight films! Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne, Diane Lane, Kevin Costner also co-star as Lois Lane, Perry White, and Martha and Jonathan Kent respectively, while Michael Shannon plays the evil Kryptonian nemesis of Superman, General Zod! Assassin's Creed III Box Art revealed

Via the official Assassin's Creed Facebook page, Ubisoft has revealed the official box art to their next chapter in the Assassin's Creed saga, Assassin's Creed III! 3 versions of the artwork, for the Xbox 360, Playstation 3 (seen above), and PC have been uploaded in the FB page for fans to see, but no details have come up yet regarding who exactly the new protagonist will be. What can obviously be taken from the pic is that it's set during the American War of Independence, and Desmond Miles will live through the memories of another ancestor of his, as the adventures of Altair and Ezio Auditore have since wrapped up after the end of the last game, Assassin's Creed: Revelations. Dead Zone presents Zombiethon 2011!

Zombie buffs and lovers in Manila, things are going to get frantic this end of October, as the dead will rise and walk the streets of Makati!

Come October 30, a day before Halloween, Dead Zone, a zombie fan organization based in the Philippines, will host the next installment of "Zombiethon 2011", an event centered at amassing the greatest number of people dressed in their favorite zombie attire and marching on as a mob! The walk this year will take place in Makati City, and as seen in the poster above, the meeting place will be at 6788 Standard Chartered Bldg at Ayala Avenue at 3:00pm!

Personally, I'm a big zombie genre fan, and growing up watching the legendary George Romero's Dead flicks, playing Capcom's BioHazard/ Resident Evil series, and tuning in to AMC's The Walking Dead only got me excited even further when I heard about this event! If you happen to be in Manila and would want to participate in this event, go dress in proper zombie related attire and come hungry... for brains!!! Fan made Casey Jones film exists and looks awesome!

Thanks to Facebook, YouTube, and Comic Book Movie, I have learned that one of the most awesome and non-mutant characters of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' franchise is getting his own film... Fan made of course, but it's still a big deal! Casey Jones, the hockey mask wearing buddy and friend of the turtles, is getting the spotlight treatment courtesy of filmmakers Hilarion Banks and Polaris Banks, with the former playing as Casey himself! Here's the trailer to this live action fan spectacle, and it's a mighty impressive endeavor I must say!

Watch "The Dark Knight" On Facebook!

Warner Brothers just announced that "The Dark Knight" will be digitally available for rental on Facebook. They will be the first Hollywood studio to offer movies in a digital medium on a social network, and more movies will be announced in the coming months.

How to rent? Well, Red Dot Diva says, one has to be a Friend of "The Dark Knight" official Facebook page. Log on to that page and and click a "Rent" icon to apply Facebook Credits. The cost per rental is 30 Facebook Credits, or USD$3.

The clock starts ticking for 48 hours once one has purchased to watch the movie. Red Dot Diva also learnt that the movie is viewable in full-screen mode. And Facebook functionalities are not halted in any way.

It is unfortunate that this rental is not available to international viewers. The rest of the world seems lagging behind when it comes to media digital distribution.

Red Dot Diva finds this move by Warner Brothers interesting though. and wonders if it makes any changes to the way people "go watch a movie". With online dating sites being an equally hot commodity, would watching a movie on a date mean something entirely different now?
