Marvel at the same time became what everyone is following and in the previous interviews RDJ he’s been saying that nothing last forever. Sometimes change is good but other might not agree about it immediately but Iron Man has his thoughts...

Iron Man 3: The Teaser Trailer Revealed!

After a short burst of teasers and unveiling some new photos and the very first official poster, Marvel has finally unleashed the long awaited trailer to "Iron Man 3"!

Directed by Shane Black and bringing back Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark/Iron Man, the armored avenger must suit up to take on a new threat that's hitting everything he knows and loves... The Mandarin!

Iron Man 3: Ben Kingsley is your villain and more on the plot itself.

Big news comes for Iron Man 3, and It appears that the film seeing the return of Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark/ Iron Man's finally getting a villain to its name. No details on what that role will be for Marvel Studios and Walt Disney Pictures' next superhero flick after The Avengers... but playing it is none other than Sir Ben Kingsley! Also, new potential plot details have emerged that may make followers of the comics to get excited. Consider this a SPOILER WARNING to all if you don't want to get too much info on where the plot will center over, but it's pretty much a given based on previous reports from the movie. You have been warned, and check away if you're eager to see what's in store for ol' shellhead's next flick!

Movie Review: Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows

When the first Sherlock Holmes movie strode into theaters back in holiday season 2009, I was blown away and mesmerized by the sheer brilliance and excellent performances given by its stalwart cast, notably Hollywood icons Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law, who portray the titular character Sherlock Holmes and his colleague Dr. John Watson, respectively. In the same vein that Batman Begins and Casino Royale recreated the sagas of The Dark Knight and James Bond, this flick totally gave us a new and wacky interpretation of Mr. Holmes, and his methods are quite eccentric and comedic in nature that it proved to be a good choice by director Guy Ritchie to cast RDJ as the genius sleuth and detective, with the latter riding out his newly acquired fandom thanks to his unprecedented role of Tony Stark in 2008's Iron Man.

I've seen the movie twice to count, once in Hong Kong this past December (making it both films in the series I've seen in HK) and the other this past Thursday for the special advance local premiere, courtesy and thanks to Jay Gonzales and the people of Warner Bros. Philippines. It may be a few weeks late after its initial release in the US, but rest assured, if you're a fan of Guy Ritchie and RDJ's interpretation of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's seminal fictitious work, you may want to give this a shot, as it opens today as of this writing in theaters locally. With that said, here's my review of Sherlock Holmes: A Game Of Shadows!

Over at the Anaheim Convention Center in California, the stars and people behind Disney and Marvel Studios' upcoming epic 2012 superhero team movie "The Avengers" assembled at the Walt Disney D23 2011 Expo to talk about the movie and present some awesome footage for lucky attendees over there to see. Highlighting the cast present there of course was Robert Downey Jr., aka Tony Stark and the Invincible Iron Man, as well as Jeremy Renner/ Hawkeye, Scarlett Johansson/ Black Widow, Cobie Smulders/ Maria Hill, Tom Hiddleston/ Loki, and Chris Hemsworth, the mighty Thor himself! Lead by Marvel Studios' President Kevin Feige and joined by Walt Disney Chairman Rich Ross, the team screened a special reel of what is approximated to be about 4 minutes worth of exclusive footage from the Joss Whedon directed Avengers, comprised of scenes that highlight the Hulk, Nick Fury, Loki, and the rest of the Avengers team! I didn't get to see this during the premiere last night, but finally the trailer has appeared online!


Set to be attached to screenings of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part II, the first trailer for the Guy Ritchie directed Sherlock Holmes sequel "Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows" has hit the web via Bleeding Cool, and is also available online to view in Apple. Once again reuniting Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law as Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson respectively, their next adventure gives them their greatest case yet as they have to contend with the very cunning and dangerous Professor Moriarty (Jared Harris). Yahoo! Movies, Slash Film, and Superherohype have featured two new posters released by Warner Bros. for the upcoming Sherlock Holmes sequel "Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows"! Once again directed by Guy Ritchie and starring Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law as Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson respectively, the new movie finds the duo taking up their latest case as they cross wits and paths with Holmes' new archnemesis, Professor Moriarty (played by Jared Harris). The first poster, featured above, has Holmes holding a pistol with Moriarty in the background. The second one sheet has Watson on the foreground this time, while new leading lady Noomi Rapace is in the back playing her role of Sim.

Also, don't forget to note that the first trailer for this movie MAY appear with Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part II this week, alongside another rumored teaser trailer debut for The Dark Knight Rises! Jon Favreau and RDJ Talk Avengers and Iron Man 3!

This past weekend at the Hero Complex Film Festival, Iron Man star and Tony Stark actor Robert Downey Jr. made a surprise appearance at the show, joining his former director and the festival's esteemed guest Jon Favreau for a Q & A session that the duo answered for the people in attendance. They talked mostly about Iron Man I and II's creative process, and later on delved into Marvel's upcoming 2012 blockbuster superhero team up film Avengers, as well as giving some of their own thoughts about Iron Man 3 and its new director Shane Black as well, whom RDJ has worked with before in Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. Shane Black describes Iron Man 3 as a "Tom Clancy" styled thriller

Since Jon Favreau's departure from the director's chair of the Iron Man film franchise, director Shane Black was chosen by Marvel to step in and take over the job for the next sequel Iron Man 3, with more expectations rising from fans as to how the Kiss Kiss Bang Bang director would deliver the next film starring the Armored Avenger. At the recent Omaha Film Festival, Black confirmed that not only will he be helming the film, but he'll also be penning the script as well, and given his extensive writing resume and contributions to Hollywood hits like the Lethal Weapon franchise, we may be expecting big things for Ol' Shellhead's next adventure in the big screen.

Via a post from Ain't It Cool News, Shane Black will begin work on the screenplay of Iron Man 3 by meeting with the star of the show and Tony Stark himself, Robert Downey Jr. Having previously worked and directing the actor in his first and only directorial feature to date, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, it's a sure bet Black and Downey have chemistry, but how it will turn out when it comes to all things Iron Man remains to be seen. The director also states that because of the disappointment the studio had with the direction of Iron Man 2, things are going to be a little different this time around for Iron Man 3. Black describes the film as "Iron Man fighting real world villains in a Tom Clancy-styled thriller". If that's the case, then the third film returns in some way to the humble origins of the first film, where Tony Stark was forced to build a suit of armor to flee captivity from real life terrorists.

In a way, it makes perfect sense to ground Iron Man and have him fight real life villains. Iron Man 2 strayed too much from the sincerity and realism I felt from the first film, especially since the sequel was built as a springboard to slowly introduce The Avengers into Hollywood (which resulted on Jon Favreau leaving in the first place over creative differences with the studio). Having too many heroes will just confuse the direction of the movie altogether, and it's a relief to hear that Shane Black says there will be no other heroes appearing in Iron Man 3 other than Tony Stark, his alter ego, and his supporting cast. There will be references still, but since Iron Man 3 comes out a year after The Avengers hits theaters, things will shift back into single hero stories, and that's truly a good thing to expect. It's too soon to tell how this all plays out, but here's hoping Black, Downey, and the rest of the Iron Man film crew have something good to offer for the third film! Looks like Robert Downey Jr. may be getting a familiar face to work with even with Jon Favreau's departure as director of the Iron Man franchise, as Marvel is now in talks with director Shane Black to helm the next installment of the armored avenger's adventures in film!

The Hollywood Reporter and several other movies sites like Screen Rant report that Black, who directed RDJ in his post-rehad comeback film Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, is in negotiations to direct Iron Man 3, and he may also be attached to the project in a writing capacity as well. If this ends up being true, then not only is it reuniting Downey Jr. with Black, but it may also add a new layer of action that's much needed in the franchise. Shane worked on all four Lethal Weapon films, and it's action comedy punch may be what ol' shellhead's next film needs after the lukewarm reception everyone got from Iron Man 2 (not that it was a bad film, but it lost the charm the first film possessed and had too much emphasis on leading on to The Avengers rather than being a stand alone film). Slash Film and Superherohype have posted a video courtesy of the guys of Entertainment Tonight, who have made their first exclusive "behind-the-scenes" visit to the set of Sherlock Holmes 2. The sequel, once again starring Robert Downey Jr. as the eccentric titular character and sleuth, once again pairs up with Jude Law, who also reprises his role as his friend and partner Doctor Watson. Directed again by Guy Ritchie and set one year after the events of the first film, Holmes and Watson must overcome all odds to chase after their new nemesis, Professor Moriarty (Jared Harris), while also contending with other faces, namely a new female acquaintance and Holmes' own older brother, Mycroft. Slash Film has just posted what appears to be the first official picture from Sherlock Holmes 2! The sequel to 2009's Christmas adventure that is once again directed by Guy Ritchie will have actors Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law reprising their roles as Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson respectively. Noomi Rapace will be joining the cast as a French gypsy, while Jared Harris will be taking on the role of Holmes' nemesis, Professor Moriarty. Stephen Fry on the other hand takes the big brother role as Holmes' older brother, Mycroft, and Rachel McAdams may reprise her role of Irene Adler, Sherlock's love interest in the last film, though that's still subject to change. At this point, production of the sequel is still rolling, and more updates will still be on the way before the film's impending release on December next year. Movie news sites ComingSoon and Screen Rant have unveiled the first set photos of "Sherlock Holmes 2", which brings Robert Downey Jr. back in the titular role, along with Jude Law returning as his partner, Dr. Watson. Rachel McAdams is also rumored to return as Irene Adler, albeit in a smaller role than last time.

Directed once again by Guy Ritchie, the film will pick up where the first film left off, as Holmes attempts to outwit and challenge the new arch-nemesis he made in the first movie in the form of Professor Moriarty, who will be played by actor Jared Harris. Sam Raimi to direct Oz: The Great and Powerful!

Spider-Man and Evil Dead director Sam Raimi has a new directing job on his hands, and it's a prequel to the classic tale - The Wizard Of Oz! He is currently attached to direct "Oz: The Great and Powerful", a tale that takes place before Dorothy's visit and sees the man who would become "The Wizard" end up in Oz, hailed as a powerful being but in truth a con artist who gets mixed up in a Civil War between three girls who would end up becoming the three witches Dorothy interacts with in the following story. Raimi's directorial style would fit the concept indeed, and if rumors prove true that Robert Downey Jr. may star as the titular Wizard, then we got an interesting upcoming flick on our hands! Blu-Ray Review: Iron Man 2

Iron Man 2 was a great sequel. It had tons of action, special effects, and superb acting to keep the fans entertained and get their money's worth. Despite some pacing issues and some nitpicks, the sequel performed well enough to keep the numbers rolling in Marvel's favor, outperforming expectations and even surpassing the box office record of its predecessor "Iron Man". Now that four months have passed since it took theaters by storm, Tony Stark and his armored alter ego are ready to suit up and ride home, as Iron Man 2 makes its long awaited release for home video via Blu-Ray and DVD!
