Happy Meal Australia Spotlight: Smurfs 2!

12.31.2013– A few months back after the popularity of the minions followed The Smurfs 2 promotion, which where available in variations in some markets. When it was released in Australia there were only minor differences from the Asian release. The Happy Meal Smurfs 2 released in Australia produced four additional character variations and here are those three that was never available in Asia. Plus the difference between the Smurfette in the US as well as the one sold in Asia…

Happy Meal Spotlight: Smurfs 2!

08.14.2013 – It’s been almost a month since the release of the Happy Meal featuring the characters from Smurfs 2 was released and some of them are still available in selected McDonald’s store in the Philippines. They even held a special #ToyPhotography contest for you to be able to win a Sony Cybershot digital camera. The US release came out last July 1, 2013 and it’s not the same as how Despicable Me 2’s minions have ruled the toy meal world.

08.03.2013 – Smurfette the only female Smurf would play a larger role in the upcoming sequel from Sony Animation Studios. If you have been following Peyo’s original comic strips she was never a Smurf by nature but rather a creation of the sinister Gargamel. The Happy Meal toys are slowly appearing in some parts of the Asian region and the reports about the US release was earlier than expected no that the Minions have blown up the interest in collecting these toys won’t translate the same success with the Smurfs.
