McDonald’s Happy Meal tie-up to the upcoming film has been doing the rounds of promotion since early in March 2015 and its now the featured toys for this April with eight to collect its enough for one big party not only for a flock of sheep.

In the Philippines prior to the movie’s release it was sold out and no word on a restock as previously reported during the premier last Saturday that they have 1.2 million units allotted for the whole duration of the promotions.

06.27.2013 – The Happy Meal toys that was supposed to be for the month of July 2013 in the Philippines is getting sold out. The film has not been shown yet but the toys previously sighted are getting sold out too notably Dave & Stuart interactive minions.The popularity of the minions solidified as the current favorite group of creatures after Smurfs that put them in the cult status. Speaking of the Happy Meal toys previously confirmed to be a total of fifteen minions were discovered to be more than that combined with nine from Philippines and six from Australia. Reports now that McDonald’s released for their Happy Meal all over the world totaled to SEVENTEEN minions which was discovered in parts of South America having two more not available in other foreign markets.

In the previous stories told about such releases like the Megamind toys stands out that you can’t have them released in all regions. This could be a similar thing with the popular Despicable Me 2 minions which has been selling like hot cakes. McDonald’s Philippines had started selling the minions last June 21st and you have to collect ALL NINE versions.

The Philippines has the Man of Steel buckets treats and their own Jollibee Kids Meal that features three toys for the young ones to collect.

05.28.2013 – Man of Steel is just a few weeks away and Warner Bros. is pushing for this film to kick start their own cinematic universe. The toys of course have been out like the much anticipated Movie Masters version from Mattel. When Superman Returns came out back in 2006 besides the actions figures and merchandise there was even toys that was released by Jollibee. At the same time Kentucky Fried Chicken had their Chuckie Meals that had toys related to Superman.

02.25.2013 – This March 2013 McDonald’s Happy Meal in the Philippines is SpongeBob SquarePants which features eight characters with four others that has Mr Krabs, Sandy, Patrick Star and Squidward in Olympics themes. Originally it was released in North America sometime prior to the Olympics with sixteen character designs that also featured others from the cartoon series. Evidently the Asian release gets only a selected few.

12.05.2012 – The Happy Meal for December 2012 revealed the promotion featuring Rise of the Guardians the film shown for the Holidays based from William Joyce’s The Guardians of Childhood book series and The Man in the Moon short film with ReelFX. The toys consist of six characters based from the animated feature though it would be great if Santa Claus was not trapped inside a Snow Globe. The promotion started late November where the interest has not picked up yet.
