Happy Meal 2020 | Fast & Furious and TY Toys

02.22.2020 – The releases of Happy Meal toys since the start of the year was a bit slow and the line-up was not that much impressive. The Pokemon range of “cut out” figurines weren’t the same as actual toys with gimmicks and Hasbro Games weren’t much appealing to a select Asian households that include the Philippines.

It seems like they are going back to the basic interest why Happy Meal is not just a kid’s favorite whenever they go to their nearest McDonald’s. But this time there’s an option for your little ones to pick a book or get the latest toys like the TY soft toys featuring fishes for girls and the upcoming Netflix Fast & Furious Racers!

Happy Meal 2013: Beware the Batman & Twinkle Toes!

12.04.2013 – It’s been a while since the last Happy Meal for McDonald’s Philippines featured Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Strawberry Shortcake. This was late in October 2013 which is more than a month back.

There’s no new Happy Meal in November, and brought the new promo for December with Beware the Batman & Twinkle Toes. The latest animated series in Beware the Batman has not caught up with the Asian region. But old Batmna viewers will be delighted with the new Happy Meal...

Happy Meal Asia 2013: Doraemon!

10.11.2013 – Doraemon is Japan’s Cultural Icon a robot cat who time traveled from the 22nd century to aid a pre-teen boy called Nobita Nob first appearing in Japanese Manga in December 1969 created by Fujiko Fujio.

The Happy Meal promotion for Asia is Doraemon featuring collectibles that was originally released in Japan sometime in March 2013. Doraemon was also a promotional collectible in 2011with another fast food restaurant in the Philippines. It comes to a surprise the Philippines has released the latest Happy Meal yesterday.

The Iconic Happy Meal Box Returns!

09.19.2013 – Earlier this morning McDonald’s Philippines officially released the return of the Happy Meal box which was unveiled yesterday in a private media launch. For those who have not seen the Happy Meal box in the Philippines it was discontinued in 2001.

Everyone who has seen a Happy Meal box can closely associated that without it that particular product is "not happy at all” as being the identity as part of the McDonald’s brand. This was previously mentioned when the US released Despicable Me 2 Minions was reviewed including the box.

Happy Meal 2013: The Smurfette Conspiracy!

08.03.2013 – Smurfette the only female Smurf would play a larger role in the upcoming sequel from Sony Animation Studios. If you have been following Peyo’s original comic strips she was never a Smurf by nature but rather a creation of the sinister Gargamel.

The Happy Meal toys are slowly appearing in some parts of the Asian region and the reports about the US release was earlier than expected no that the Minions have blown up the interest in collecting these toys won’t translate the same success with the Smurfs.

Happy Meal 2013: It's the Smurfs 2!

07.24.2013 – The unprecedented success of the Happy Meal brand for McDonald’s has been followed by other fast food restaurants. The aftermath of the Despicable Me 2 featuring the beloved minions has caused the marketing to bring the next one –- Smurfs !

The Smurfs (Les Schtroumpfs in French) has been around long before merchandise marketing was born for collectibles as it first appeared in a Belgian comic and television show. Smurfs first appeared in comics on October 23, 1958 by Peyo (pen name of Pierre Culliford).
