New Thundercats: Lion-O! (6" Inch Scale Series)

12.28.2013 – The lord of the Thundercats doesn’t need any further introduction.

The classic character was raised on planet Thundera, which eventually exploded and was aged into an adult but still have the mind of a child.

He’s younger than WilyKit and WilyKat due to the malfunction on his stasis.

The 2011 version was raised in the kingdom of Thundera on 3rd Earth.

New Thundercats: Tygra! (4" Inch Scale Series)

12.27.2013 – The Thundercats series may have come and gone while the toys went on clearance.

But even though everything is said and gone the toys would become nostalgic in its own right being popular for reviving one of the well-known cartoons of the 1980s.

Though the 2011 iteration of the show didn't see much of the classic characters brought back to the modern times. Surely the primary cast deserved its own spotlight.

Deluxe Lion-O's Sword of Omens!

12.22.2013 –The Sword of Omens is the primary weapon of Lion-O who would be Lord of the Thundercats. Back then toy manufacturer LJN was the original maker of the action figures and role playing toys which include the Sword of Omens.

The vintage version didn’t appear to be accurate to the one Lion-O wields in the show every Saturday mornings. Back in the day it looked cool enough to own that every neighborhood kid would want to wield but it was too small and very short.

New Thundercats: WilyKat & WilyKit! (4" Inch Scale Series)

10.10.2013 – The New Thundercats may have been off-air but still being shown as a re-run in some parts of Asia via Cartoon Network. There’s no possible future of being revisited again but the action figures definitely give you a somewhat retro look to it.

In this re-imagined universe of the Thundercats the fraternal twins of WilyKat and WilyKit did not as the survivors of a dying planet in Thundera in the classic cartoon series but from a down-trodden family who ran away to find riches to save them.

Thundercats Classic: Lion-O! (8" Inch Scale Series)

08.17.2013 – Lion-O the iconic lord of the Thundercats has been the focal point of the original series as well as the recently cancelled modern series from 2011. Bandai manufactured the toy line up until Warner Bros. Animation canceled the TV series.

It left a cliffhanger similar to what happened to the Mike Young produced Masters of the Universe. You’ll never know what happened after that series ending episode. But the toys continued to sell but not as popular as you expected.

New Thundercats: Mumm-Ra! (4" Inch Scale Series)

08.01.2013 – Mumm-Ra is one of those memorable villains in cartoon that could have been more known if it not for the series cancellation in mid-2012. The new Thundercats offered more about Mumm-Ra than he was portrayed in the original 1985 cartoon.

The new series was purely unrelated to the classic it gives you an idea that this mummy is not from Third Earth. The original action figure that was manufactured by LJN have the mummy version available through mail away where you collect the UPC purchase that you need to send in acquiring this most feared creature.

New Thundercats: Panthro! (4" Inch Scale Series)

11.11.2012 – The Thundercats series might no longer be on-air after that cliff hanger that ended in cancellation. But that doesn’t mean the toy line will immediately cease to exist. In reality there still have more Thundercats to go around until supply last.

For those who haven’t caught the attention of the series and those never grew up with the classics that only knew Lion-O there are also other supporting characters. Panthro comes to mind as the mechanic of the team but in the new series he’s more than that.
